Up to 10 units of either graduate courses (not seminars) in related disciplines outside SOE
(requires faculty adviser and graduate director approval) OR upper-division undergraduate courses
when necessary to strengthen the student's preparation for graduate studies (requires faculty
adviser approval).
MS Thesis candidates must take 7 additional courses (including up to 10 units of 297 and 299).
At least half of the units must be CE graduate courses.
