There is 22 students, half of the students are athletes, half are not. There is a mixture of
all types of cultures in the class, white, Hispanic, black,4 being handicap. I will grab

these students attention by showing the students an exciting video about softball. After
this I will go right into my first activity.

Direct instruction: Make a power point over the rules of softball. Discuss each position
and what their roles are on the field. Explain what you can and cant do on the field.
Example: You cant lead off until the pitcher has pitched the ball.

Demonstrate how to throw and catch the ball, the have the students try it out with each
other and help correct them as they keep trying.
Activity 3: estimated time: ___20 minutes________
Make a Kahoot quiz having questions like, which position plays where, what are the
names of each positon what are the names of the type of equipment that we use. How
many outs, how many innings. The basics. Basically the rules we went over in activity 1.
