Al Mustafa The Chosen One

Taught by Sh Yahya Ibrahim

Introduction and description of Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
Your heart would know him even if your eyes hadnt recognized
him.
"There was a golden thread that passed through the words of the
Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasallam) whenever he spoke; and it was
compassion."
"The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasallam) was recognised by a scent
that was beyond the earthly scent. Most of the time he walked with
his eyes cast down due to the sharpness and twinkle in his eyes.
Your heart would know him even if your eyes had not seen him."
Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam.
The word 'hubb' (love) comes from the same root word as 'habb'
(seed). Love and seed are both similar in meaning, in that they both
start off small and grow into something bigger. In order to plant a
seed, one must tilt the land, expose the seed to sufficient sunlight,
water it, plant it well, and finally after a long period of time, that
seed will grow and blossom into a beautiful, sturdy tree which will
bear beautiful fruits that will benefit all those surrounding it.
Our love for Rasulullah (salallahu alayhi wasallam) begins as just a
tiny seed in our heart. The more we learn about him, the more it
grows, the more we take care of that seed, the bigger it will grow,
until it becomes a beautiful tree, of which the fruits will bear for the
person both in this world and the next.
So I ask myself and yourself, what is the seed of love that we have
for the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasallam)?
He was moderate in every way, and balanced.
Amr Ibn Aaas lived with him most of his life but couldnt describe
because of his aw inspiring demeanor.
Anas would say, there is no hand I have ever touched that was
softer than his hand.
Hasan Ibn Thaabits way of making money was that people would
pay him to tear apart their enemies through poetry. A group of
people invited Hasan to ridicule the messenfer of Allah. When Hasan
saw the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam), he shuffled back where
he was sitting and gave the money back to the group of people.
When they asked why, he said: When I first gazed upon him, his

radiance blinded me, and I raised my hands to cover my eyes so I

dont go blind. He thereafter accepted faith.
Yusuf (as) was given half of the beauty of the world, but the
Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was given all beauty which
manifested in different forms and which was veiled with honour and
dignity.
It was an act of Ibaadah just to see him and look at him.
The one who follows the Propht (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam), tests
and trails will descend upon him quicker than the way a mountain
floods.
The one who plants the seeds of success will definitely find that
success even if it comes after a while.
Success in life is not what you gain, but what you go through to
gain it.

What does it mean to send blessings upon Prophet (salallahu alayhi
Wasallam) in our busy lives?
That our heart, mind, word and deeds reflect our mention of
Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam).
The Sahaabahs didnt do less than a 100 salaat and salaam each
day. They would count them in hundereds.
The one who loves the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam), he will
love him back.
His character and treatment
The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam)s character was already so
beautiful, that when revelation came, it didnt change his character,
but enhanced it.
The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) would love Khadidja (ra)
so much, that even after his death, when he remembered her, he
would go buy her friend gifts.
The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) would take loans from the
Jews so that the Muslims (sahaabah) didnt feel obligated to give
more to him than he needed.

The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) married all different types

of women, he broke all cultural taboos.

Perhaps the one who may hear later may understand it better than
those who are present today. This proved to be true!
Unless your hopes, loves, dreams & fear are as similar to what
Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and his companions wanted,
then you will always be distant from him. #AKChosenOne
The same things that the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
wanted were the same things that Musa (as) wanted.
#AKChosenOne
We look in the Akhirah but we live in the dunya. #AKChosenOne
How the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was before
prophethood did not change after prophethood. #AKChosenOne
Some things we learn from his hadith.

Hadith: The world is but a provision and the best provision of the
world is a righteous woman. (Muslim)
Gems: The best thing a man can have in life is a wonderfully
righteous wife. The righteous wife is a kind of a woman, who when
her husband was to see her, he feels joy. #AKChosenOne
Hadith: Act kindly towards women, for they were created from a rib
and the uneven part of a rip is its top. If you attempt to smooth it
out, you will break it, and if you leave it alone it will remain uneven;
so act kindly. (Bukhari and Muslim)
Gems: Women were created from a rib, which is a delicate bone and
easily breakable. If a husband tries to change his wives ways,
habits, tastes, personality to be an exact match of him, then that is
going to break her. #AKChosenOne
He (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) begins hadith with treat with
kindness and ends with treat with kindness. #AKChosenOne
Its not about what should be done, but what kindness can be done.
#AKChosenOne
Its not that men are in charge of women but they are responsible
for them. #AKChosenOne
Hadith: Al-Aswad said: I asked Aishah: What did Rasulullah
(Salallahu alayhi Wasallam) used to do in his house? She said: He
used to work for his family, and when prayer (time) came, he went
out for prayer. (Bukhari)
Gems: The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was a family man.
Who would sew his clothes and others clothes. #AKChosenOne
Hadith: Umm Salama (ra) said that Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi
Wasallam) said: If a woman dies in a state her husband is pleased
with her, she will enter Paradise. (Tirmidhi)
Gems: It doesnt mean that the husband is your worth or value, but
that you live with a person for so long, and that when it is time for
your husband/wife to leave, they testify to your goodness and wish
they could spend another day with you. #AKChosenOne
Other points of reflection..
Its not about condemnation but attraction. #AKChosenOne

You need to deal with people with clemency and softness.

#AKChosenOne
You need to know how to lead people back to Allah. #AKChosenOne
Detesting it in your heart is part of faith.

The Messenger of Allah encapsulated all the teaching methodologies
of the Prophets that came before him. #AKChosenOne
Familiarity breeds contempt.
Prophetic methodology in inviting to the truth:
1. Do not bore the listener
2. Speak at the intellectual level of the listener
3. Use questions and sound arguments and eloquence in debate
(used a lot imagery)
4. Use analogies
5. Use diagrams or drawings
6. Use gestures whilst talking
7. Use tangible examples, exhibits, or artifacts
8. Anticipate the follow up questions and provide answers for
them
9. Answer with more than it is asked
10.
Turn the question into something that will be of more
benefit
11.
Allow others to answer the questions
12.
Take advantage of teaching moments
13.
Use playful fun out of all the techniques
14.
Using oaths for emphasis
15.
Repeat, repeat, repeat
16.
Calling out to the listener and remaining silent
17.
Making physical contact when speaking
18.
Using cliff-hangers
19.
Using personal stories and accounts from the past
20.
Paying attention to focus groups
21.
Using anger
The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) would tie a sack of dates
for the children in the masjid and would forbid the elders to eat from
it. #AKChosenOne
The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam)s anger was not an
emotional kind of anger, but anger for the sake of Allah.

Signs that we love the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam):

1. We seek to emulate him and make him a role model in our life
There is a difference between application and association. The
application part is a central theme in the Quran.
Story of Julaybeeb: It is not for a believing man or a believing
woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that
they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And
whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed
into clear error. (33:36)
Seeking to emulate him is the key to loving him and earning his
love, Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam.
2. Your habit, desires, appetite to success is concurrent to what
the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) requested from you.
#AKChosenOne
You find that you implement actions of Sunnah before even knowing
it was Sunnah.
3. Your heart does not hold a grudge or enmity towards those
who wrong you
4. Your mouth is made fragrant with peace and salutations upon
the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
5. You seek to see him even if its just in your dreams.
Anas ibn malik (ra): If I dont see the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi
Wasallam) in my dream every night, I would count myself a
hypocrite.
The thing you crave the most, you see in your dreams.
#AKChosenOne
6. You seek to make your character and habit, that people see of
you a reflection of his habit and character. Even little things
and details. Anas (ra) hated pumpkin soup but began to love
it because of the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi wasallams) love
for it! #AKChosenOne
7. Love for his companions
8. You have animosity to those who hate the Prophet (Salallahu
Alayhi Wasallam)
9. You are attached to the Quran being habitual in reciting it. It
is Ibaadah to look in the Quran. Hudhayfa Ibn Yamam would
put his face in the Quran and cry saying, These are the

words of my Rabb! Aisha (ra) would say: The one whose

heart is not attached to the Quran, his heart is not attached
to the Prophet (Salallahu alayh Wasallam). #AKChosenOne
10.
Accepting of anyone who loves him (Salallahu Alayhi
Wasallam)
11.
You will sacrifice on his behalf
Benefits in loving the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam):
1. Increases Rizq (anything you need to live by, ease
contentment, happiness, openness). Attracts barakah in your
life
2. Increases health increase longevity of life. Waking up an
hour before Fajr is rejuvenating for your body. To oversleep is
just as detrimental to your health as is under sleeping. (More
than 7/8 hours of sleep). Sleeping late into night and into
morning is not from Sunnah. #AKChosenOne
3. Shield that repels harm There is no greater ruqya than the
Adkhaar taught by Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam).
#AKChosenOne
4. Strengthens heart
5. Puts light in your face. People of your faith feel comfortable
with you.
6. It illuminates the heart As hostility increases, the measure of
the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was compassion.
7. Guarantees blessings (grace) That Allah has given you that
you havent earned and that you can never repay Him for. The
love of the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) assures that
those blessings are maintained in your life.
8. Your love of the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is the
removal of harm. The more you love him, the easier is to get
out of a difficulty.
Whenever my depression and my worry increase,
I turned and looked at the Prophet (salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) my
eyes.
And removed from me was any pain I felt,
Or any depression I experienced. Sahaabah poetry
When you visit Madinah youre an invited guest of the Prophet
(Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) to the radiant city. <3
9. It connects you to the mercy of Allah Anyone who loves the
Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is worthy of the mercy of
Allah.
The Prophetic model of success:
(Lessons from Battle of Badr, Uhud, and Khandaq)

1. Trust fate and destiny Our Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi

Wasallam) taught us what it truly means to accept Qadr. What
is to be is to be. What Allah allows none can disallow. What
Allah has given, no one can take. What Allah has withheld, no
one can give it to you.
Sometimes it was the point of the sword that these lessons
were learnt.
There are 3 things that happen to us in this world:
- Something will come into our realm of life that we have
absolutely no control over nor could we escape. Allah will
not ask you about why it happened to you.
- Things that happen within you that are involuntary
processes. If I had done this is from words of the thought
processes of shaytaan.
- How you react to the first two.
The things you are responsible for are things you will be accountable
for.
It is fated for the Ummah of Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
to ascend.
We dont fear for the religion of Allah but we fear for the Muslims.
2. Respond to failure with success
If you fail at something, dont become negative and say it will never
happen.
Dont give up!
3. In life excellence must speak for you
The companions let their actions represent their words.
The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was a shining example of
conduct because he attracted peoples hearts through his conduct
not through his words.
4. Duaa is always answered
Ya Allah, if we are defeated tomorrow, who will worship you. - The
Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) spent the night before Badr
asking, begging, and pleading to Allah with his hands raised.

Dont trust the means of success to be success. Dont trust your

strength. Dont trust your youth. Dont trust your name. Dont trust
your education. But trust Allah. The only security is Allah.
We assume that we will be looked after without giving commitment
to Allah in Duaa.
Dont put your trust in skill but in Allah, even if you have the means
to succeed.
Duaa is the only thing that can repel decree.
5. When its time to change, change
Dont be inflexible or unwilling to compromise. Dont be unaccepting
of advice.
When youre confronted with logic, and theres an opportunity to
change, then dont be stubborn and stick to your ways.
6. Forget the past, do not try to control the future and invest in
the present.
7. Stay silent
You can say much more with your silence than with your words.
The best words are those who are short speech but big in meaning.
The loudest person in the room is the one who has the least
knowledge. Learn from the quiet ones.
Allah never commanded the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) by
saying Ya Muhammad. Bur he did so with all other prophets. Allah
always gave him commands through other titles, such as O Prophet
of God, or O Messenger of God.
Allah purified the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) in all the
capacities that all the prophets wished to be purified.
After Days of Tashreeq and slaughter, Allah revealed Surah Nasr.
