Swing and Swing Dancing

Musicians started creating a new type of jazz called swing


It put a different feel into jazz music
Instruments consist of saxophone, clarinets, piano, trombones, and sometimes
violin or viola

Radio broadcast of his gig playing swing style jazz


This sparked the popularity of swing music around the world
Swing dancing evolved because of this.

Jazz was a popular style in the 1940s. One artist who played jazz was Duke
ellington, he was a jazz pianist, who changed jazz by giving the audience a complex
yet accessible jazz.
At the time the music industry was having a battle for power between the radio and
record companies.

During the 1950s swing was pretty popular. One popular band was the
Squadronaries. They gave attention to swing and made it more popular. Swing
featured a lot of saxophone, trombone, trumpet, piano, guitar, and bass.
This was at the time when radio was on the rise.

One style during the 1960s was country blues. A particular artist was Duane
Eddy, who was a member of the rebel rousers. This was interesting because Hybrid
styles were rare in the 1960s.

black sabbath was an english heavy metal band consisting of : Geezer Butler,
Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, Ozzy Osbourne.. Theyve won many awards such as
grammys . In multiple hall of fames such as U.K music hall of fame, and the rock
and roll hall of fame.

N.W.A is a group from the ghetto including Eazy-E (Eric Wright), Dr. Dre, Ice Cube
(OShea Jackson), DJ Yella (b. Antoine Carraby). With lyrics with explicit
language. They gave a spark to gangsta rap.

In the 2000s pop punk was the thing. One band was blink 182, they have three
members, who play guitar, drums, and bass.

Chancelor Bennett or Chance the rapper grew up in the middle-class
neighborhood of West Chatham in Chicago's South Side. Father was an
aide for former mayor Harold Washington, Now an aide of Barack
Obama. People use streaming to listen to music. He has released many
albums, been in many ads and concerts.
