Create a QR Code Hunt

Type the information next to each prompt.
1. Choose a topic: Parts of Speech
2. Identify the standards and write objectives:
Objective: Students will be able to identify a part of speech of a
word in a sentence.
Standards: Colorado Grade 3
Language Arts 2. Reading for All Purposes 3. Increasing word
understanding, word use, and word relationships increases vocabulary
Technology 1. Empowered Learner: Students leverage technology to
take an active role in choosing, achieving and demonstrating competency in
their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences. a. Articulate and set
personal learning goals, develop strategies leveraging technology to achieve
them and reflect on the learning process itself to improve learning outcomes.
3. Determine how you want students to proceed through the QR code
hunt and what they are to do with the information or what they are to
do at each clue. Describe your method here: Students are grouped into
pairs. Each pair has a classroom mobile device that has the QR Code
App downloaded on it. They scan the beginning QR code in their
homeroom class, then from there they answer the following questions
at each QR code among all the 3rd grade classrooms. Once they get a
question, they answer it, and move on to the next. The student pair
are assessed by the amount of questions they get correct at the end of
the allotted time.
4. Write at least 10 questions or prompts (see table below):

5. Create a QR code for each question/prompt. Copy and paste the QR

code next to each question/prompt above. QR codes can link to text,
web sites, images, and more!
There are a lot of QR code generators. Some have colors, some allow many
options, some are just black and white, and some force you to download the
QR code.
This QR code generator allows you to copy and paste rather than download:

This one has lots of options and color: http://www.qrstuff.com/

6. Here is a QR code hunt generator: http://www.classtools.net/QR/ - it is

preferable for you to try the do it yourself QR code generators rather
than class tools. If you are struggling, then refer to class tools for help.
