INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
The plan should guide the LEAs use of education technology for the next three
years.

Describe how a variety of stakeholders from within the LEA and the
community-at-large participated in the planning process.
The stakeholders from the LEA are the principal, computer teacher who is also the IT
manager, the AP principal of academics. Community stakeholders are some teachers,
parents, and district coaches. Those stakeholders are in charge of the schools
atmosphere. They try to make the teaching as handy as possible. In order to manage
that, they try to come up with a good technology plan and implement that in the school
for a few years. They arrange meetings with other teachers and discuss about how to
easily set up a technology based learning environment in the school.

Summarize the relevant research and describe how it supports the plan's
curricular and professional development goals.

 According to the research, the major outcome is enhancing students

academic success, helping them to learn with their own paces, showing
them how to manage their academic career in the future.
Long-Range Plan for Technology, A report to the 80 th Legislature from the
Texas Education Agency. Submitted to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor,
Speaker of the House, and the 80th Texas Legislature. The U.S.
Department of Education targeted new strategies and goals for all school
districts in the United States in its National Educational Technology Plan.
The State Board of Education is compelled and obligated on behalf of
the students of Texas to present to legislature a new plan, the LongRange Plan for Technology.

This research is done for creating a technology plan and implementing it in
Texas schools. The plan presents a great deal of suggestions and
methods for districts, for schools, for school administrators, and for
teachers. It completely targeted to increase students achievements and
have to be in a good condition in the future. The connection between the
research and the plans goals is obvious and it is almost the same. They
emphasize the same points in terms of students success..
School admins and some teachers ask to the community and to parents
for collecting data. They make surveys, invite community members, and
make meetings with each other.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools.
1) What technology is currently available to all teachers?
Teachers have access to the internet all the time at the school. They also have a
laptop which can be used at home also. Other than that there are printers,
fotocopy machines, projectors, document camera, mimio pads, classroom
phones, and scanners.
2) How does technology assist with student assessment?
All the students have an opportunity to use a chromebook, an ipad, or a desktop
computer that is located at the computer lab. Students make practice on their
devices almost everyday at the school. In math they use a program called

ALEKS, and also another program which they use for homework is called
Accelerated math. There are similar software programs for other classes, too.
Students take some of their assessments on the computer or ipad which allows
them to get immediate feedback and some tips about how to solve and learn the
subject.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
1) Is technology currently available to all students?

Yes, each student has either an iPad or a chromebook which they can use at the
school with the teachers permission. They also get the advantage of document
cameras, projectors, and mimio pads.
2) How is technology being used by students in the library media

center and labs?

Students use the technological devices when the teacher let them to do it.
Otherwise, they are not allowed to use them on their own. In the computer
lab, they use computers to make practice about what the teacher is being
teaching to them. In the library, they can search about the books and get a
quick review about them before reading the book.

technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
1) Are targets for improvement in student achievement being met?
For some areas the targets are being met. For example students are able to take
assessmets online get they are able to get quick feedbacks from the software
programs. However, for other areas still some time is needed in order to met with
the achievements.
2) How will your curricular goals and needs influence your technology
goals?
My curricular goals help to my students to get the advantage of the technology
and use them for their learning.

Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
1) What LEA adopted curriculum (matrix, and/or scope and sequence, i.e.
International Society for Technology in Education [ISTE] Standards for
Students)
supports the acquisition of technology and information literacy skills?
The LEAs scope and sequence targets to acquire to the students to learn
technology in the technology and computer classrooms. Also, some
elective classes contribute to that goal.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services

integration skills and needs for professional development.
1) How does your LEA regularly assess teachers and administrators
personal technology proficiency skills?
My LEA regularly provides professional development opportunities once in a month and
there we take some seminars and being assessed about what we have learned and how
can we implement the things we learned.
2) Do teachers have the classroom management strategies to work with the
amount of technology actually available in the classrooms?
Almost every teacher has his or her own classroom management procedures and
strategies to use in the classroom for managing the technology. This was told to all the
teachers at the beginning of the school year and we as teachers are provided for some
basic rules that we can use in our classrooms.

professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
1) How will teachers and administrators be trained and provided ongoing support in the effective integration of technology into the
curriculum? (4Cs, Substitution Augmentation Modification
Redefinition [SAMR])
Teachers are being trained at the beginning of the school year before the
school starts. They learn about some general technological information about
how to run the class. They learn how to take attendance, enter the grades
and such the information that is in the school database system. Also these

trainings keep continue throughout the year during the professional

development meetings.
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning resources,

technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that will be used to
support the Curriculum and Professional Development Components of the plan.
1) What technologies are available to facilitate home/school
communication such as email, web pages, and voice mail?
There are many ways to communicate with parents. The most common way is emails.
Almost all the parents have emails, so they being contactad that way. Other than that the
school has a website and it has some announcements for parents. Also school reaches
to the parents by text messages, but this option is not available for teachers. And of
course with phones.
2) What technology access do parents have at home? What technologies do
parents prefer for home/school communication?
Almost all of the parents have smart phones, so they have internet access. Besides that
many parents have computers or ipads at home with internet connection. They also
have televisions and home phones. Parents usually prefer text messages since they feel
more comfortable that way because of the language barrier.

Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking and

telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.
1) What technology is needed to implement the Curriculum and Professional
Development components for students and staff?
First of all in order to implement the curriculum and professional development
components teachers and students need to have access to the internet. We use the
internet for research, and for practice through some software programs or websites.
Also teachers need to have a laptop which they can use it at the home, too.
Additionally, all the students should have a chromebook or ipad for making practice
or research on the internet.
2) How will parents and community members are able to access school
information from home computers?
In our school all the parents are able to access to the school information from
their home computers. Our school has a database system where we take
attendance, put students grades and their behavior issues. Parents can see

them by logging in the database. Also the schools website gives some general
information about the school along with the announcements from the school.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT
The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
1) How will the LEA know whether implementation of this plan has made a

positive impact on teaching and learning?

The LEA administrators have a plan to evaluate the teachers. Whenever they observe a
class, they can see if the plan was implemented and how it effected the students. Also
students are being assessed based on what they have learned and how they are
learned that. At this point school will see the impact of the plan.
3) What indicators of success will be used (e.g., number of students

successfully meeting grade-level standards and advancing to the

next grade, reduced dropout rate, increased attendance)?
The major assessment criteria is the STAAR Test which is given to the students
at the end of the course. By looking at the data that comes from this test,
administrators come up with a decision about the success of the students. Also
they assess students with practice test questions throughout the year. Other than
that the reduced dropout rate is another indicator for student success.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
1) How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is responsible?
There is not a regular schedule for collecting the data. There is a staff in the
district central office who is responsible for collecting data after each district
assessment or practice test. In general it happens almost in every two months.
3) How will teachers, parents, and other stakeholders provide
suggestions and opinions in the evaluation process?
For evaluation process, teacher make meetings with same grade level teachers.
They talk and come up with a decision about the impact of the process. Also
parents get the suggestions of parents during parent teacher organizations or
meetings and create a common plan that shows how to evaluate studetns.
