CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Dear Parents,
This week, our students are learning about the healthy diet tips and physical activities. Understanding Nutrition at a young age will
give your children the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices throughout their lives. We believe that prevention
through early education is the best treatment. Did you know that most children do not eat a balanced meal? Did you know that over
80% of children do not eat enough of the healthy foods their body needs for proper nourishment? This can affect their concentration
and learning ability in school. Did you know that more and more children are being obese today? This can lead to a lifetime of health
problems including diabetes or heart disease.
We acknowledge the key roles both parents play to make an effective learning experience. Therefore, I have created this Physical and
Healthy Diet Activity Calendar to involve both children and their parents. We want to make it easy for the entire family to work as a
team to establish good nutrition at home.
