The GAMSAT High Achiever Program 2014/15 is by qualification only and is without exception
the most comprehensive and powerful GAMSAT preparation program available today.
Candidates are so thoroughly prepared and perform so well that we are able to offer the METC
Institute High Achiever Guarantee of acceptance into medicine: In the unlikely event that you
are not accepted, despite completing all aspects of the program, we will provide you with free
enrolment into the GAMSAT Platinum Program valued at $3688 the following year.
The success of this course is evident in the performance of its previous students. While past
performance is not a guarantee of individual future performance, we have been able to survey
and verify the results of every student who successfully completed the GAMSAT High Achiever
Program in 2013/14 (defined as completion and submission of all exams and prescribed
assessment tasks). Preliminary results show that in this cohort, every student has achieved a
GAMSAT score high enough for acceptance into medicine. Of the cohort, 80% have already
accepted positions at the University of Queensland and the University of Sydney for 2015.
The remaining 20% have interviews at other Australian medical schools in September and will
receive results and offers in September/October. The final outcomes of the entire cohort will
be published when offers have been finalised.
Program Overview
The GAMSAT High Achiever Program is an intensive pre-medical program requiring a high
degree of motivation and sustained commitment to learning. The program aims to maintain a
standard of excellence in developing for students a critical knowledge base in science,
deemed necessary as a pre-requisite to postgraduate studies in Medicine. The program also
strives to develop higher-level complex reasoning and problem-solving skills in broad topic
areas ranging from Humanities to the Sciences. The development of advanced written
communication skills is also an integral feature of the program, with 2 intensive course subjects
devoted to this component. The program consists of a total of 7 course subjects covering all
aspects of GAMSAT and includes Medicine Entrance Interview Preparation. The 2014/15
GAMSAT High Achiever Program commences on the 3rd November 2014 and concludes in
August 2015 upon completion of the Medicine Entrance Interview Preparation Course
(CR301). Students should sit GAMSAT Australia 2015 during this period for planned
admission into Medicine in 2016. A small proportion of students completing the High Achiever
Program may elect to sit GAMSAT UK 2015 and GAMSAT Australia 2016, for planned
admission into Medicine in 2017. However, the program should still be completed by August
2015 as prescribed. The total course workload is equivalent to 78 credit points and will require
approximately 850-1250 hours to complete. The GAMSAT High Achiever Program is a fulltime endeavour although many previous students who have successfully completed the
program have done so in combination with full-time work or University commitments - a
testament to their dedication and motivation for success. The GAMSAT High Achiever

weekends;
Mastermind Tutorials - 12x 2-hour group tutorial sessions. Group tutorial sessions are

These sessions commonly occur in the evenings and over weekends, as tutors are all
doctors with busy schedules. Additionally, students should note that session times may
be subject to last-minute date and time changes due to unforeseen clinical

Entry Requirements

successfully using the following criteria:
