Eastenders is
a soap opera;
it is played 4

The narrative
of Eastenders
has a
constant

each episode
there will be a

Lighting

Jump cuts are

used from

that both
characters
can be seen
in
conversations

the viewers
are able to
see the
emotions and

A smooth

narrative

used to give a
structured

for the viewer
to

Crane shots
are widely
used
throughout
the film.
Cranes are
used for the
shots or jibs.
By using this,
this gives the
view of the
subjects from
a higher
perspective
and adds
dramatic
features to
endings.

Technicolor is
largely used
in the film
from the
change from
black and
white films to
colour films.
The film uses
twice the
amount of
lighting for its
visuals, which
would have
given it the
best optical
effects of its
time.

The
sounding
used in
this
particular
film is
very
basic to
produce
a larger
atmosph
ere for
the whole
of the
film. Due
to the
length of
the film,
general
music is
used only
in
necessar

The studio
and set
designs
are all
original.

some
backdrops

in the show to
portray the
back stories
of subjects
and so that
the viewers
can
understand
the
backgrounds
of certain
situations/
problems
which may or
may not arise
in the show.

Much of
the
lighting
used is
artificial
lighting
from
indoors
and set
lights due
to the
fact that
the show
is set
indoors.

Much of the
camera
techniques
used are
close-ups,
long shots,
wide shots,
high & low
angle, twoshot, crane
and tilt shots.
This gives all
possible
views to the
viewers of
the show.
This means
that they can
have an
understandin

environment
around them.

The editing in
the show is
very much
cut editing.
This is used
to produce a
continuous
flow within
the show and
to make it
work to fit.

General
sound
effects

ambient

are used
in the

the

the

The
techniques
are
extremely
simple, thus
making the
whole video
simply

the use of a
single
camera, we
get one
overall view
of the set in
each of the
sections.

Jump cuts are

used from

difference in
the main
structure of
the story that
is being told.
This can also
add suspense
as jumping
from scene to

music in

In the
music it

The narrative
of Catfish is
presented in
the same way
as a normal
movie, and
this is what
gives it a
movie
structure. The
film is actually
a
documentary,
yet: the
length of the
film gives it a
feature
length
documentary
status.

There is
no
specific
lighting
used from
the film.
It is all
natural
lighting.
This adds
more of a
realistic
view
instead of
an,
artificial
view
towards
the film.

Small and
unprofession
al (to the big
screen)
cameras are
used to make
the film seem
as though its
as realistic as
possible due
to the
storyline. By
doing this,
viewers can
relate more
with the
documentary.

Simple
editing is
used to
produce more
of an effect
to the
watchers of
this film. This
adds both
tension and
excitement
towards the
viewers.

There is
no sound
used in
the film
and this
also adds
tension
due to
the fact
that
viewers
will not
know
whats
coming
next. All
focus is
put on
what is
being
said by
the 3
stars of
the
movie.

Lighting is
used
sparingly
on the
video to
put the
main
focus on
the main
subjects of
the
document
ary.

Trailers

There is an on

throughout.
This helps a
viewer to
understand
what the film
is and what
its about. The
narration can
also help as it
can inform on
when the film
will be
available to
watch.

Due to
the fact
that this
is an
animation
- there is
no

lighting.
Therefore
all the
clips
being
used are
from the
actual
movie
itself.

As this is an
animation,
there aren't
any cameras
as such- due
to the fact
that the film
is made on
computer.

The start of
the trailer
shows the
overall
problem in
which the

of the movie
