What is your general feeling about TP at the end of the week?
What progress have you made in terms of your own personal targets for TP this
semester? Which TP competencies do you feel you achieved and which do you think
that you need to focus on next practicum? Discuss ways in which you could do this.
30/November/2016 , was the last day in Ahmed Bin Majed school , it was an
active day because it Martyr's Day I joined the student when plain come and have a
flag of Martyr's Day , I take a picture for them ,after that they return the class . Also in
that day the student go to school yard at 11:25am , and in 11:30am they say the prayer
to Martyr's, and they raise the flag up ,it was amazing when you joined small student
in celebrate like this . actually in TP , I learned how to be self-confident and how to
selp student in reading, in practice or in the exam . there is different between two TP ,
the fisrt one was the start for what you will be and this one to achieve and work hard
to do it .
While I am at teaching practice I have achieved several areas. The first
improved that I had is professionalism and understanding. In this particular part, I
started to be more professional by attending the class in regular and on time. In
addition, I have good communication skills with my MST rather than before. From
my previous TP I was struggling interacting with my MST, but now I changed and I
become more intrapersonal. Secondly, I developed classroom management by setting
some rules and develop communication skills with the learner. Also, I started to use
appropriate body language and make eye contact when students answering the
question and monitor they while them completing their tasks.
However, there are some areas that I need to improve to become a good
teacher. Also, my MST asked me to focus the area which are planning the lesson. This
is because when I was planning I had some difficulty when giving a clear instruction
what students need to do. Also, I have difficult to set a time for each activity and how
many time that students need to spend in the task. Thus, I need to work in this to
create an effective lesson plan. Secondly, the MST commented in is when learner
answers the question I have the luck of using promote language like good, excellent
.etc. So it is really important that I need to consider about it when students
answering to use verbal reinforcement. The last thing that I need to improve on it is to
reflect on lesson because what I have done is asking learner if they understand the
lesson without making sure. Therefore, my MST advised me to create some activity to
check learner comprehension.
