Summarize (A good way to understand a story is to
think about the important key events and the order in
which they happen. We can retell the story from
beginning to end.) Make Inferences (Sometimes we
must figure out things in the story ourselves. Paying
attention to the important events gives us clues about
the story.) Literary Element: Rhythm (many poems
have a rhythm or a beat like music) and Alliteration
(words that begin with the same sound)
