Argumentative Essay
Does religion have an effect on Americans? The power of religion and religious symbols
is a positive effect on people in America. Some say that religion has no effect on Americans;
however, religion has a positive effect on Americans because there are fewer rated R movies and
better leaders than 10 years ago.
People are not exposed to as many bad movies as they were ten years ago. Christianity in
America has made America a better place because there are less rate R movies than 10 years ago
(Anderson 2016). Having less rated R movies is better for America because there is less violence
and nudity in the world. Some people say rated R movies do not make people bad. According to
research, children who watch rated R movies are more likely to drink alcohol (Society for
Prevention Research 2016). Having children drink alcohol is bad because they do not allow it
and it will damage their brain. In addition, rated R movies makes children bad. According to
Tennessee's Senator Estes Kefauver, children who watch films with violence are conditioned
toward antisocial conduct and they contribute towards Juvenile delinquency ( 2016 ). This proves
that children under the age of 18 should not watch any violent rated R movies.
A lot of people that are very important have claimed to be

Christians and they have made a positive change in America. According to Leith Anderson, the
author of Religion Benefits America, Today, those who publicly state that they are born-again
Christians include the President of the United States, the attorney general, the national security
adviser, governors of many states, members of Congress, senators, CEOs of our largest
corporations, university professors, best-selling authors like John Grisham, country music stars
like Randy Travis (2016). These people are examples of better leader and they are Christians.
These people have made positive contributions to society. Some may say that being a Christian
does not make you a good leader. Jesus was a good leader and that he had a mission and got
people to follow Christianity. People who follow Jesus example are good leaders. As an
effective leader Jesus invites others to participate in his mission.
Some say that religion has no effect on Americans; however, religion has a positive effect
on on American because there are fewer rated R movies and better leaders than 10 years ago.
The power of religion and religious symbols is a positive effect on people in America. Does
religion have an effect on Americans? R
eligion influences the daily lives of Americans finds
that people who are highly religious are more engaged with their extended families,
more likely to volunteer, more involved in their communities and generally happier with
the way things are going in their lives.
