CUYAPO, NUEVA ECIJA, HELD ON OCTOBER 16, 1995 AT THE
SANGGUNIANG BAYAN SESSION HALL.

RESOLUTION NO. 82, s-95

RESOLUTION REGULATING BACKYARD PIGGERY AND POULTRY RAISING,
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 04, s-95.
WHEREAS, the existing ordinance regarding backyard piggery and
poultry raising is no longer applicable to present situation considering
the increased population of the townpeople;
WHEREAS, there is a need to repeal/amend/modify aid existing
ordinance;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. SBM Nestor S. Dagdag and
duly seconded by Hon. SBM David Roy N. Delo, an open session
assembled, RESOLVES, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to enact the following
Municipal Ordinance, with wit;
MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 04, s-95
ARTICLE I
PIGGERY RAISING
Section 1. A backyard piggery raising
within town proper with the

maximum of two heads for

fattener purposes should be
reared. However, in barangays, a
maximum of 10 heads of fattener
and sow is likewise be allowed.
Section 2. A commercial piggery farm to
should be located 500 to 1,000
meters away from the built-up
areas.
Section 3. A backyard and commercial
piggery farm should require a
sanitary permit before its
operation. Likewise, a team
consisting of Veterinarian,
Sanitary Inspection and
Environmental Specialist should
undergo a thorough ocular
inspection of the site of operation
before granting such necessary
permit for a legal operation.
Section 4. A commercial piggery farm
should be 500 meters away from
major roads, highways and 25
meters away from food
establishments.
Section 5. A backyard and commercial
piggery should require a septic
tank/reservoir or otherwise
proper waste disposal
management must be
hygenetically observed and
implemented.
Section 6. Failure to maintain cleanliness
and good sanitary surrounding at
all times, is a sufficient ground
for the revocation of licenses and
permits for its operation.

Section 7. Violation of the law shall fine a

minimum of PhP2,000.00 or a
maximum of Php2,500.00 or an
imprisonment of 30 days or both
depending upon the discretion of
the court.
ARTICLE II
POULTRY RAISING
Section 1. A backyard poultry raising
within town proper, a maximum
of 50 heads of broilers or 50
heads of layers either of the two
or both should be reared.
Section 2. A commercial poultry farm
shall be located 500 to 1,000
meters away from the built-up
areas. (Section 2 of Article I)
Section 3. A backyard and commercial
poultry farm should require a
sanitary permit before its
operation, likewise a team of a
Veterinarian, Sanitary Inspection
and an Environmental Specialist
should under a thorough occular

before granting such necessary
permits for a legal operation.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution/ordinance be
posted at three conspicuous places within the Municipality, and the
