1. Out of the top ten most populous countries, the ones near the top tend to be in the industrialized
or post industrialized state, whereas the ones toward the bottom tend to be pre industrial or
industrializing. Again, these are generalities and not immune to exceptions.
2. Each industrialization state has a different population pyramid. The pre-industrial state has a
pyramid with a large amount of young, pre-reproductive people compared to their older
counterparts; this is reflected in the pyramid shape of the graph. The industrializing pyramid has
the shape of a pyramid as well, but it isnt as wide and population percentages maintain similar
levels from birth to about 40-44. The industrialized population pyramid, despite its name, breaks
from the pyramid shape and instead is a rectangle, except there is a large bulge in the middle,
reproductive age group. This makes sense, because this is where the large population of people
from the last generation that needed to create a lot of children would be. The last industrial
stage, postindustrial, has a population pyramid thats almost in the shape of an upside down
pyramid. This is because people are producing less and less than they did in previous historical
numbers. This properly illustrates a slower rate of population growth. I found these countries by

using prior knowledge of industrialized countries.

GDP per capita is the Gross Domestic Product of an entire country divided equally among the
population. In relation to a population, a high GDP generally indicates a higher standard of
living, which is usually highest in industrialized or postindustrial countries. This is true for the

countries above, as GDP increases from pre-industrial to industrialize. The only exception is
China, as it has a lower GDP than Russia, but this can be explained because China has such a
large population, and China still has a higher GDP than both Nigeria and Indonesia, which are
nowhere near the industrial capacity of Russia or China.
