where he checks in with his supervisor. Then, he gets on Bus
#405 and starts the engine. He pulls out of the parking lot
and begins his route. At his first stop, he picks up Mrs.
Miller, who lives in a red house on the corner of Main Street
and Seventh Avenue. She works at the post office and has to
be to work by 9:00. At the next stop, the Bartlett twins get
on the bus. More children get on at the next three stops,
and they ride until the bus reaches their school. Mr. Lee enjoys seeing the kids every day and is
happy to see them again in the afternoon when he drives them safely back home.

FORME NEGATIVE I INTEROGATIVE
Att forma negativ, ct i forma interogativ ale verbelor la prezentul simplu se
formeaz cu ajutorul auxiliarului to do. La negativ i interogativ, verbele de la persoana a 3-a
singular i pierd terminaia s/-es: He eats fruit -> He does not eat fruit. Does he eat
fruit?

Behind closed doors

One in four adult women has experienced at least one physical assault from a partner during
adulthood, and one incident of domestic violence is reported to the police every minute. The
findings of a recent study show there are still many barriers to women seeking help. The results
of a population survey from the study confirm a wide-ranging ignorance of the extent of
domestic violence.
Only 17% of the respondents are aware of the one in four statistics
outlined above. Most believe that the proportion of women experiencing
domestic violence is one in every 25. The majority of men and women
consider that "punching", "sex without consent", "slapping", "threats of
violence" and "verbal aggression" represent acts of domestic violence,
and more than half identify "controlling social life" in the same way.
Most respondents believe that drugs and alcohol abuse are a major
cause of male violence. However, 20% of all respondents believe that
