Running Your First Program in SAS

The chose variables for a further analysis are Gross Domestic Product (INCOMEPERPERSON), Oil Consumption
(OILPERPERSON) and Total Employees Age15+ (EMPLOYRATE) in 213 countries around the world.
Frequency tables are created in SAS for these 3 variables grouped in Quartiles considering missing values of each variable.
It is noticed that there are around 150 missing value in the Oil Consumption variable which is around 70% (150 out of 213)
of the considered population. This issue will be kept in mind for future examination.
Analysing each variable is founded that the variable INCOMEPERPERSON shows a mean of 27783.98 in the fourth quartile
(Q4) which is about four times more what is in the other 75% of the countrys Gross Domestic Product. This does not
happen in the other 2 variables having an almost even or at least not significant variation in their means on each quartile.
Following a distribution plot of each variable, it is very clear that the variables INCOMEPERPERSON and OILPERPERSON
are highly skewed to the right, but no likewise the variable EMPLOYRATE which has an almost normal distribution.
