Teaching Tip
Students may need help making their books. Tell them to look at the pages in Unit 1 for ideas of
words they can use and pictures they can draw. Give students 10-15 minutes to write and draw their
book pages. Show students how to put their books together. Cut out the pages and put them in
order. (Class is fun! is the title page, followed by pages 1-5.) Help students put the pages together.
You can use a stapler, or punch two holes on the left side and put the pages together with string or
a pipe cleaner. Then ask students to work with a friend and share their books. If time allows, you
may wish to do this as a whole-class or group activity.
