Automatic Transfer to Emergency Power

Follow Genset start-up procedure for


Scheduled Power Transfer.

1 Proceed to Power Plant 2.

Verify Genset controller must be at "Auto


Mode" (LED # 4 must be illuminated).

Verify all Genset must start and synchronize to


2 common bus (Genset Breaker at Close
Position). Green LED illuminates.

Verify Substation Db Feeder Breaker must be in


close positon.

Verify all Feeder Breaker must be at Close


Position.

If not "manually close feeder breaker" by


pressing ON button on the breaker depending

on the Genset capacity or number of Gensets
sync to common bus.

If not "manually close feeder breaker"

Verify both ECB LED # 8 and NCB # 6 must


5 illuminate (Emergency and Normal Breaker
were in parallel).

Verify both ECB LED # 8 and NCB # 6 must

were in parallel).

Verify NCB LED # 6 must turn off automatically


after 3-5 seconds.

Verify NCB LED # 6 must turn off automatically


after 3-5 seconds.

If not, set controller to "Semi Mode" and press


7 "NCB Off" (PB # 10) to Trip/Open Normal
Breaker.

If not, set controller to "Semi Mode" and press


7 "NCB Off" (PB # 10) to Trip/Open Normal
Breaker.

8 Verify or set controller must be at "Auto Mode".

8 Verify or set controller must be at "Auto Mode".

9 End of Transition.

Verify LED # 5 must be illuminated. Normal


Power is available.

Wait for the Shift Leader command to execute


power transfer.

Proceed to synchroscope of controller located


at View 1.

4 Set controller from "Auto" to "Semi Mode".

Press NCB ON (PB # 10) to initiate power


transfer by means of Close Transition.

Wait for the synchroscope slowly meet at the


center (12:00) and NCB LED # 6 illuminate.

Verify both ECB LED # 8 and NCB # 6 must


7 illuminate (Emergency and Normal Breaker
were in parallel).
Press ECB Off (PB # 11) to open/trip
8 Emergency Breaker 3-5 sec after NCB LED # 6
illuminate.

9 Verify ECB LED # 8 must goes Off.

10 End of power transfer to Normal Power.


NOTE:
WHEN SUBSTATION Db WAS ALREADY TRANSFER TO NORMAL POWER , REMAIN
CONTROLLER TO SEMI MODE. DO NOT SET CONTROLLER TO AUTO MODE TO AVOID
RETRANSFER TO EMERGENCY POWER.

Power Transfer to Normal Power

Verify LED # 5 must be illuminated. Normal


Power is available.

Wait for the Shift Leader command to execute


power transfer.

Proceed to synchroscope of controller located


at View 1.

4 Set controller from "Auto" to "Semi Mode".

Press NCB ON (PB # 10) to initiate power


transfer by means of Close Transition.

Wait for the synchroscope slowly meet at the


center (12:00) and NCB LED # 6 illuminate.

Verify both ECB LED # 8 and NCB # 6 must


7 illuminate (Emergency and Normal Breaker
were in parallel).

Press ECB Off (PB # 11) to open/trip


8 Emergency Breaker 3-5 sec after NCB LED # 6
illuminate.

9 Verify ECB LED # 8 must goes Off.

10 End of power transfer to Normal Power.


NOTE:
WHEN SUBSTATION Db WAS ALREADY TRANSFER TO NORMAL POWER , REMAIN
CONTROLLER TO SEMI MODE. DO NOT SET CONTROLLER TO AUTO MODE TO AVOID
RETRANSFER TO EMERGENCY POWER.
NOTE:
DO NOT RESET MAINS FAIL UNTIL ALL SUBSTATION WERE TRANSFER TO NORMAL
POWER.
