Lesson 1: body parts and actions

Prior Knowledge:
* Students already know some parts of the body.
* Students already know some actions.
Lesson Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be (better) able to:
* The student will be able to recognize the body parts and their place. (toes, hand, body, arm, leg,
fingers, tummy, hand, nose, and foot)
* The student will be able to recognize the body parts actions. (wiggle, stand, wave, hop, nod, flap,
shake, clap, tap, roll, and fall)
* Students will be able to act out the actions. (wiggle, stand, wave, hop, nod, flap, shake, clap, tap,
roll, and fall)
Lesson Activities:
1.

(Body parts vocabulary): students will say the word together and show it in their own body.
(toes, hand, body, arm, leg, fingers, tummy, hand, nose, and foot)

2.

(Actions vocabulary): Students will say the word and match it on the board together. (wiggle,
stand, wave, hop, nod, flap, shake, clap, tap, roll, and fall)

3. (Act out): each group will have two words of action and they need to act it to make the rest
students guess what action it is. (wiggle, stand, wave, hop, nod, flap, shake, clap, tap, roll, and fall)
4. (Differentiation activity): Students will be working individual by their own worksheet according
to their level. High level: complete the missing letter on the cards (file N. 3) (see Appendix 4) with
extra if they finish (file N.4). (see Appendix 5) Middle level: write the correct word worksheet
(file N. 5) (see Appendix 6). with extra if they finish (file N. 5). (see Appendix 7) Low level: write the
correct name of the face parts and color it (file N. 6). (see Appendix 8) with extra if they finish
(file N.7). (see Appendix 9)
5. (Evaluation): students will work individually on their worksheet and handle it to the teacher(file
N. 1). (see Appendix 1)
6. (Homework): each student will have a homework papers (file N. 2). (see

Appendix 3)

Evaluation / Assessment:
I will use my daily checklist

(see Appendix 2)

and give points on the activities N. 4 (Differentiation

activity) & N. 3 (Act out). Also students will work individually on a evaluation worksheet and handle it
to the teacher(file N. 1). (see Appendix 1)

Personal focus (related to PDP):

In this lesson Im working on my three PDP goals:


1.

Activity N. 1 (Evaluation) will be sent with the letter foe each 2 weeks to the each students
parents. According to my to PDP goal During semester 7 teaching practice, I will record the
students interact (orally and written) with their behavior (acceptable and unacceptable) and send
it to their parents each two weeks.

2. Appendix 2 daily checklist to count the goals, yellow point, and red point. It created to assess
the students behavior and participation orally and written during the class. According to my PDP
goal During semester 7 teaching practice, I will create a classroom rules and motivate students
to interact (orally and written) during the English class. Also to control their behavior too.
3. Activity N. 4 (Differentiation activity) for the high level students will be used in the display in
the classroom. According to my PDP goal During semester 7 teaching practice, I will designed
two displays inside the English classroom, one of them large and the other small. It will be
created by my students work in my class and some main information that they learn it.
