Pedro David Santay Natareno
7801 Titan Drive Antelope Ca, 95843 Governor Jerry Brown c/o State Capital, Suite 1173 Sacramento, Ca 95814 To Whom It May Concern: Hello, I am Pedro David Santay Natareno, one of the main reason I am writing to you today is over the Syrians refugee crisis. To begin with, I was wondering if you are aware that in a single year, about 11 million Syrian have fled their homes for safety (CON: Some governors exaggerate terror threat by making U.S. seem weak). Moreover, my name is Pedro, a current 10th grade student attending Antelope High School located in Antelope, CA, my parents first arrived in the U.S. as immigrants but actually worked hard and were determined that now they are current U.S. citizens. It may be difficult, but one is able to make strive to benefit the U.S. they will unless forces like the government hold back people with dying urges to make the U.S. better. Currently as I write this, there has been a lot of political discussion over the topic if allowing Syrian refugees should be permitted. For example, many debate they should be allowed as they are broke and can not maintain themselves as poverty in a single year has increased by 85%. Moreover, around 13.8 Syrian refugees have lost their homes or any type of shelter they had. The crisis we face today of Syrian refugees is similar to the Jewish refugees that seeked help from the U.S. For example, both the Jewish and Syrian refugees were accused of having spies or people who want to harm America when many know that will not occur. Furthermore, in both situations, the majority has voted to not allow the refugees in due to their selfishness and inhumane selves. Hence, if denying the Syrian refugees, it will be the same like the Jewish refugees of denying them then regretting it afterwards. I personally disagree with the current lawmaker of leaning toward not allowing them in and believe they should be permitted. To begin with, everybody knows America is built off immigrants and without them it would plunge to the ground immediately. In addition, many are also aware that the Syrian refugees will not be a bother but rather be honest and follow rules as the chances of them going through with a terrorist attack are very slim. Thus, in reality allowing Syrian refugees would benefit civilians and development more rather than hurting it. In conclusion, Syrian refugees should be allowed in as they will barely cause any trouble and chances of them causing corruption are slim. Furthermore, the same excuse has been used to practically every refugee group that they cause destruction when America is built off immigrants and it would be inhumane of us as privileged citizens in this wonderful country to deny that freedom to others in the land of the free. I would deeply appreciate if you were to vote to allow those poor, tired, innocent Syrian refugees in as they have been through enough suffering just to be let down once again. In advance, thank you for you time and taking time to read this as I know you are busy making the state of California better each day, once again thank you and have a nice day. 4635 Elverta Road, Antelope, CA 95843
