ADOLESCENTS OF JAMMU DISTRICT.
A. CONCEPT OF VOCATIONAL MATURITY
Vocational Maturity is defined as, “an ability of the individual for
making a decision for preparing and entering upon a particular job.” If the
individual succeeds in developing himself properly and prepares for a
vocation, which suits him and is in harmony with his all-round
development, it is said that the individual is vocationally mature.
B. NEED OF THE PROBLEM
The need of the present study is to know the vocational maturity of
students so that proper guidance can be provided by the parents and
teachers. It may also help the students in developing self-confidence in
vocational choices. It may help in understanding the motives of the pupils at
earlier stages so that they may be facilitated by providing them proper
