The term spirit as used in the book of Acts:

2:4; 2:17; 2:18
- In these verses the Spirit will be giving or was giving the believers a
kind of supernatural powers.

- This verse demonstrates the omniscience of the Holy Spirit as He
was aware of the sin in the heart of the couple. The Spirit was also
giving Peter a special kind of discernment to also it.

- The term spirits here may be referring to the disposition or mental
state of the people or also to demon spirits that were troubling
them.

- The people were not able to resist the words of Stephen who was
being empowered by the Spirit.
