RATIONALE:

Nothing can separate us from the love of God (Rom.8:39)


The Bi-Annual Vicarial Youth Day 2016 (VYD2016) #Rebolusyon calls the young
people to be more radical and to lead a revolution on evangelization. We will try
to examine our life as a mercified community and plow through the different
levels and sectors of our ecclesial relationships and structures. VYD2016
#Rebolusyon tries to study how mercy can open our hearts to the cries of the
anguished and how to discover the mercy of God in our human communities
As we celebrate the Year of the Parish and the Communion of the Communities
and the Youth Ministry Awareness Week in our diocese we invite you to send your
delegates to the Vicarial Youth Day (VYD) on December 9-11-, 2016. The
VYD2016 is generously hosted by St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Sta. Cruz,
Zambales.
Objectives:
1. To facilitate a deeper reflection and experience of Jesus as the face of the
Fathers mercy
2. Strengthen the

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The Vicarial Youth Day 2016 will have its new method and new approach of
introducing catechesis and encouraging the young to discover a new way,
exciting and fun in sharing the Good News to others.
The three day gathering of our young people aims to focus on key issues like the
effects of media, social and moral issues to the young people. It will be a great
opportunity as well to empower the youth to be a missionaries of the Church
since these different influences drawing young people away from the Church.
WHAT ARE CONCURRENT SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS?
Concurrent sessions and workshops offer participants an opportunity to focus indepth on the most critical issues facing our young people today, and to empower
and for them to realize on their roles to the Church and to our community. Over 6
sessions with 6 presentersexperts, practitioners and advocates in their fields
will engage participants in an exchange of ideas. Participants may choose on
their preferred concurrent sessions depending on their selected interest.

This is to help us prepare our youths for the challenges of live ahead, an
initiative that is far more intentional is required: a supportive circle of peers
and adults, a group where value is placed on truth, connection,
compassionate and co-creating lives.

What is the world's most important job? An international survey of a very
wide range of people from all over the world found a surprising answer:
raising a child! This workshop entails the present challenges and issues that
affects the basic foundation of our society the family. As the Catholic church
defines- "The family is a little church, a sanctuary of life, a domestic church, a
church at home, a mysterious presence of the living God."

A session that will engage the young people on ethics and moral values play
in the social, cultural, economic, ecological and political relations at all levels
of governance (local, national, regional and continental levels) in policy

Who is #TheMillenials? This session aims to systematically interrogate the
relationship between young people today and the changes that are taking
place around them. This will showcase the culture of the young people today
and how they will maximize their full potential on community building.

and dialogue, reaching out to those who have drifted away from the
Church, introducing systems of conflict resolution and reconciliation, caring
for the wounded and neglected.

A workshop on how to create a healthy environment in the home that is
conducive for positive emotional and spiritual growth. Specifically, on how
families can be helped in dealing with challenges and threats, how to
foster a culture of dialogue and forgiveness, how to understand and adapt
to the ever-changing family roles, dynamics and relationships.

A workshop on how young people can go beyond selfies. Specifically, on
how the young can make a difference and contribute to their communities,
how they can be agents and not just recipients of charity, how to choose
Jesus over idols.

A workshop on how we can be merciful to our mother earth. Specifically,
on what we can do to ensure the integrity of creation and take care of the

WELCOMING THE STRANGER: MERCY TO THE LGBT

A workshop on how to do pastoral care for the LGBT. Ensure that they are
given their basic rights as human beings and give them a future full of
hope in the Church.
