3. A tornado is a violent rotating column of air extending from the ground to the
sky. They are classified on the F scale or Fujita scale.
4. An abundant supply of very warm ocean water. Some sort of disturbance to
lift warm air and
keep it rising. These conditions exist in all tropical oceans except the South
Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean west of the South American Coast. They
occur most frequently in the late summer and early fall, when Earths oceans
contain their greatest amount of stored heat energy.
5. Tropical depression, tropical storm, and then classified a hurricane if winds
reach at least 125 km/h.
6. Theyre classified through the Saffir-Simpson hurricane scale. Goes from
Category 1 (weakest) to category 5 (strongest)
7. Strom surge, winds, tornados, and heavy rain.
