I have been employed at your firm since January 2015. During my employment, I worked part-time
and full-time as a receptionist and eventually moved up to the position of full-time bookkeeper. I am
writing to you to request a letter of recommendation.
I have greatly enjoyed my tenure at your firm and have gained an immeasurable amount of technical
skill concerning bookkeeping, payroll processing, and tax accounting. My greatest joy in my time at
your firm is the limited oversight afforded to me, as well as being given the opportunity to work on
various challenging tax issues.
As you know, in the coming fall I will be graduating from California State University Northridge
with my B.S. Degree in Accounting. I have already begun preparing for my job search after college. It
was my sincere hope that you would be willing to assist me by providing your recommendation.
Upon graduation, I will be applying at one of the Big 4 firms in downtown Los Angeles. Your
recommendation is vital to me receiving an offer at one of these firms. A recommendation from
someone of your experience and expertise would truly help bolster my application and significantly
increase the chances of me receiving an appointment at one of these firms.
