Warsaw 16 VI Yesterday, there was a plane accident involving Prince Konstanty
Cantacuzino, who currently holds the position of being the chief of Romanian
sport aviation, who is very famous as a pilot in Romania now. He came to Warsaw
a few days ago on his plane. The second victim is miss Ewelina Karszo
Sieldewska. What happened: After the lunchtime prince Cantacuzino took off on a
small plane from Okcie airfield with Miss Karszo Siedlewska as a passenger.
When the plane was over the Marymont Wood, from unknown reasons the plane
has lost the height wand started to fly direct to the round. According to
eyewitnesses pilot has tried to regain height, but instead of it the plane hits the
sand at the sand bank. Miss Karszo Siedlewska was killed on the spot, but prince
Cantacuzino was transported to the hospital.

From Warsaw. Tragical plane crash happened today (15 VI) on the Vistula
river near Bielany. At 1 p.m. weve got the phone call that some Romanian plane,
which was flown by Romanian prince Cantacusene dropped off from the air on the
sand bank in the middle of the river Vistula. The women who was a passenger in
the plane was killed. Instantly we drove to the place of accident. From the river
bank you could see hull of the crashed plane sticking out of the sand. The
canoers which were near the place ferried us to the exact spot. By the way we
have heard whole story about the accident. It was 12.35, we were canoeing near
the riverbank, when we have heard the noise of the plane engine. From above
the Bielany Wood little plane has flown. His engine was malfunctioning, from the
engine noise which wasnt normal Ive deduced that something wrong will
happen. The plane was flying low. When it was above the river I saw that the pilot
tried to make plane fly higher. In this moment engine stopped and the plane
crashed into sand dune. We canoed to the sandbank and hurried to the plane
which has capotaged. Ive started to give the first aid to the woman and my
friend started to tend the man. The woman was barely alive and was scalped. Her
skin from half of the forehead and whole skull was scalped. Ive pulled her out of
the plane. In the meantime there came scouts which were hired on the works at
Vistula river, they have informed the police and ambulance. The women lived for
7 minutes and died on my hands. In a short time there came ambulance which
took the prince to the hospital. Womans remains remained on the spot. There
came the police and at the crashed plane they have made a watch. The canoe
came to the bank. We are on the spot. Navy blue hull of the crashed plane sticks
from the sand his yellow wings totally destroyed.

As we have been informed the Romanian prince Cantacusene came to the

Warsaw on Thursday in a special mission. He has flown from the Bucharest to
Warsaw on the same American plane Fleet which crashed. Prince Cantacusino
cames from old, well known Romanian princely family. He is touristic pilot. With
him came from Bucharest 22 years old daughter of the former Polish consul in
Bucharest Miss Karszo-Siedlecka (mistake in surname A. D.)
