Introduction
Over 100,000,000 different animal species in the world today and
that every year 0.01% of those animals go extinct.
Near 10,000 species a year that we lose
41,415 of those animals are on the IUCN Red list with 16,306 of
them being threatened
History
A simple way to describe an Endangered animal is that they are a
species of animal that is seriously at risk of extinction. In 1966
Congress passed the Endangered Species Preservation Act,
providing a means for listing native animal species as endangered.
Giving them limited protection for the years to come. As of today
the Endangered Species Act (ESA) of 1973 is what is currently
being implied in the U.S. In todays society endangered animals
are a problem because of the possibility of losing a vital member of
our own ecosystem. With this being the cause of the problem
starts with us.
Positive Solution
Less human interaction
and the heavy practice of
conservation
Conclusion
In conclusion the government should invest more in helping with
the crisis in order to help decrease the overall extinction rate
around the world, maintain stable agriculture and farming, and
prevent ecosystems from collapsing.
