By reading this Guide for Cleaning and Steam-Based Sterilization you will learn
to safely and effectively clean, disinfect, inspect and sterilize reprocessable
Stryker Navigation medical instruments including instruments with electronics.
This Guide for Cleaning and Steam-Based Sterilization is intended to be kept
accessible to the operators, together with the respective Instructions for Use.
The Instructions for Use provide complementary information on:
instrument disassembly required prior to cleaning and sterilization,
instrument cleaning group and material specifications for the choice of the
suitable cleaning and rinsing tools,
instrument sterilization recommendations.
All warnings and cautions must be observed. Failure to comply may lead to
personnel and/or product damage.
Clean instruments/containers before first and every use and before returning
them for service. After cleaning, sterilize prior to use as instructed.
Only trained personnel should process instruments and containers as
instructed in this Guide.
Handle sharp-edged and pointed instruments with care.
For cleaning, do not place contaminated instruments in containers.
Use personal protective equipment as recommended in the instructions
supplied with the cleaning agent. Refer to chapter 2.
Disassemble the instrument and/or loosen all connections prior to cleaning
and sterilization if required. Refer to the disassembly instructions included in
the Instructions for Use supplied with the instrument.
To avoid higher risk of corrosion and contamination, clean and sterilize the
instruments/containers immediately after use.
If soaking is appropriate, ensure the instruments and containers are completely immersed in the cleaning solution.
To avoid contamination and to prevent residues from drying out, transport
instruments/containers to the cleaning area, covered with a damp cloth or
enclosed in a heat-sealed bag.
For optimum procedural performance, cleaning and rinsing agents recommended by Stryker should preferably be used. Refer to chapter 2.
It is part of the users responsibility of due care to ascertain prior to use
the effectiveness of manual/machine cleaning of instruments/containers if
agents are used and instructions are followed other than those specified in
this Guide.
Depending on the conditions of use and on the instructions supplied with the
cleaning agent, replace the cleaning solution as required. Dirt accumulation
and increased concentration due to evaporation may compromise cleaning
effectiveness and increase the risk of corrosion.

WARNING
Ensure that the sterilization of individual instruments and containers complies with accepted standard requirements.
Whenever possible disassemble instruments with removable parts, open
joints/hinges/locks and/or loosen connections.
If heavy loads cannot be avoided, place the instruments in different trays or
containers to facilitate penetration of the steam. In addition, take special care
on completion to inspect the instruments for dryness prior to storage.
Where appropriate, process the instruments using dedicated containers
available from the manufacturer.
8.2 Operation
Pre-vacuum steam sterilization (dynamic air removal with moist heat) with
three pre-vacuum cycles is recommended and validated. Stryker Navigation
has validated autoclave cycles for sterilization of complete instruments.
However, autoclave design and performance can affect the efficacy of the
process. Healthcare facilities shall verify the process they use, employing the
actual equipment and operators that routinely process the instruments.
Please note that according to DIN EN ISO 17665-1, the final responsibility
for validation of sterilization techniques and equipment lies directly with the
hospital. To ensure optimal processing, all cycles and methods should be validated for different sterilization chambers, wrapping methods and/or various
load configurations.
Following cycles are validated as general sterilization cycles for Stryker
Navigation medical instruments. Always carefully read the Instructions for
Use to verify if specific instructions are recommended for optimum sterilization performance of the respective instrument. Follow the specific instructions if recommended by the Instructions for Use.

6.4 Drogen
Verzonken gedeelten (openingen, canules, gleuven)
Snijranden (scherpheid)
Getande onderdelen (beschadigingen)
Gelede onderdelen
Tippen, schachten (rechtheid, gebogen of beschadigde onderdelen)

Lukemalla tmn Puhdistus- ja hyrysterilointioppaan opit turvallisesti ja tehokkaasti puhdistamaan, desinfioimaan, tarkastamaan ja steriloimaan uudelleenksiteltviss olevat lkinnlliset Stryker Navigation -instrumentit, elektroniikkaa
sisltvt instrumentit mukaanlukien. Tm Puhdistus- ja hyrysterilointiopas
on tarkoitettu silytettvksi kyttjien ulottuvilla yhdess vastaavien kyttohjeiden kanssa. Kyttohjeissa on listietoja seuraavista asioista:
instrumenttien purkaminen osiin ennen puhdistusta ja sterilointia,
instrumenttien puhdistusryhm ja materiaalitiedot sopivien puhdistus- ja
huuhteluvlineiden valintaa varten,
instrumenttien sterilointisuositukset.
oppaassa annettujen ohjeiden mukaisesti.
Ksittele tervreunaisia ja tervkrkisi instrumentteja varovasti.
l sijoita likaantuneita instrumentteja astioihin puhdistusta varten.
Kyt henkilkohtaista suojavarustusta puhdistusaineen mukana tulleiden
ohjeiden mukaisesti. Katso kappale 2.
peittyneet puhdistusliuokseen.
Jotta vltetn kontaminaatio ja estetn jnnsten kuivuminen, kuljeta
instrumentit/astiat puhdistustilaan kostealla liinalla peitettyin tai kuumasaumattuun pussiin suljettuina.
Optimaalisen lopputuloksen saavuttamiseksi on ensisijaisesti kytettv
Strykerin suosittelemia puhdistus- ja huuhteluaineita. Katso kappale 2.
Osa kyttjn asianmukaista ksittely koskevaa vastuuta on ennen kytt
korroosioriski.
Elektroniikkaa sisltmttmien instrumenttien tehokkaan puhdistuksen
takaamiseksi varmista, ett ultranikylvyn lmptila on 25C - 40C.
Noudata tarkasti valmistajan antamia ohjeita pesuaineen annostuksesta,
lmptilasta, vaikutusajasta ja materiaalien yhteensopivuudesta sek kytn
jlkeen tapahtuvaan pesuaineen hvittmiseen liittyvist rajoituksista.
Ole varovainen desinfiointiaineiden kytss. Lue aina etiketti ja tuoteseloste
ennen kytt.
Kyt reiitetty ruostumattomasta terksest valmistettua koria varmistaaksesi, ett pesuaine kulkeutuu kaikkien instrumenttien ja tarvikkeiden koko
pinnalle.
Tyt pesukone asianmukaisesti noudattamalla tmn oppaan ja koneen
valmistajan antamia ohjeita. Vlt liikatytt. Ohjeiden noudattamatta
jttminen heikent puhdistustulosta.
Kemiallisessa desinfioinnissa on trke varmistaa, ett kaikki desinfioitavat
Puhdistettaessa instrumentteja, joissa on syvennyksi, yhdist pesukoneen
letkut syvennyksiin (reikiin, kanyyleihin ja koloihin). Ohjeiden noudattamatta
jttminen heikent puhdistustulosta.
Huomio
L puhdista nGenius-Trackereita ultranell.
Huuhtele huolellisesti joka puolelta. Jos kytetn aineita, jotka eivt sisll
vaahdonestoainetta, varmista, ett vaahto lhtee huuhdeltaessa. Demineralisoitu vesi helpottaa kuivatusjlkien poistamista pinnoilta.
ilmoitettu.
L kyt syvyttvi tai hankaavia puhdistusaineita tai muita kemikaaleja.
