What characteristics needs today struggle in

Ireland;
The current Irish society is characterized by two big contrasts. The
one as in the other capitalist countries the poor labour getting
poorer and the rich bourgeois getting richer and on the other to date
the question of Northern Ireland remains unresolved. But what is the
connection between these contrasts, what is the solution and
therefore what characteristics should take the struggle in Ireland.
Through this text i will try to help the revolutionary forces of Ireland
to pursue this policy born from Marxism-Leninism or even see if they
are close to this policy in order to understand that history confirmed
its correctness. What are the revolutionary forces will be seen from
their answer in the question of national liberation and socialism.

SOCIAL CONTRAST
The contemporary Ireland is a country with capitalist development
with good industry and other areas such as trade, however such a
development is for the few, for the capitalists. There can be no
development to benefit of the people because the work and
production are social (ie all the wealth is produced by the working
class) but the ownership is individual. As long as this mode of
production exists (ie contrast capital-labor) will be war for the
distribution of natural resources, unemployment and poverty for the
profits of the bourgeoisie.
The Irish people will get rid of the shackles of capitalist exploitation
and imperialist associations, when the working class with its allies
carry out the socialist revolution and proceed to building socialism communism. The anti-revolutionary upheavals of the last 30 years
do not change the character of our times. The current period of
great decline in the international labor movement, is historically
temporary. We live in the era of the need for the transition from
capitalism to socialism, being mature material prerequisites for the
socialist organization of production and society. Resulting from the
maturation of the social character of labor and the sharpening of his
opposition to capitalist property. This contradiction has brought the
capitalist mode of production in stark contrast to modern social
needs. The maturation of material conditions is not determined by
the correlation of forces. Driving forces of the socialist revolution will
be the working class as the leading force, oppressed self-employed

in the city, the poor farmers, who suffer from monopolies, so we

have an objective interest in their abolition, abolition of capitalist
property, the overthrow of power, interest in the new relations of
production. Of all the aspects of economic and social life raises the
acute contradiction between the social character of labor and
private capitalist ownership of most of the results because of the
capitalist ownership of the means of production. Urgently raises the
necessity of social ownership, central planning with workers' power.
In terms of material conditions, socialism is necessary and timely as
ever allote. The revolutionary change in Ireland will be socialist.
The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class
struggles. Freeman and slave, patrician and plebeian, lord and serf,
guild-master and journeyman, in a word, oppressor and oppressed,
stood in constant opposition to one another, carried on an
uninterrupted, now hidden, now open fight, a fight that each time
ended, either in a revolutionary reconstitution of society at large, or
in the common ruin of the contending classes. Karl Marx-Friedrich
Engels Communist Manifesto

NATIONAL CONTRAST
The modern Northern Irish society is split in two between those
who have Irish ancestry and those who have British ancestry and
also there is religious divide between Catholics (Irish mainly) and
Protestants (British mainly). ut this separation is completely wrong.
The actual separation is automatically between the capitalists and
the workers, the other divisions are incorrect and fueled by Irish and
British capitalists in order to separate the two peoples and make
them hate each other. The two peoples must understand that they
share the same homeland and that the enemy is inside their own
country. They must understand that they have common problems
and they are boiling in the same pot, that they have the same
homeland in opposition to their bosses that do not have problem to
sell the people and their homeland for their profit.
The revolutionary forces properly understand the right of the Irish
people to own Ireland but must also be aware that a great part of
population do not understand that. But if revolutionaries embrace
this strategy will earn a part of population either in the struggle for
power either in their neutralization. ut the most important is to
understand and Declare the right of Irelands peoples to ownership
Irelands wealth. If this policy is succeed then will also succeed this

policy which declares the right of the people of Ireland to the

ownership of Ireland.Revolutionaries must unite the two peoples
in order to justify Irish people sacrifices and gain British people as
allies in their common struggle for their own homeland for a United
(32) Irish Socialist Republic (this is the true meaning of
republicanism. Connolly understood that). In order to unite Irish and
British working class to their struggle against their common enemies
Irish and British bourgeois.
Of course in this way they will have to overcome obstacles such as
the traitors of British workers (unionist, loyalists), those who support
British bourgeois. Also they will have to face the typical republicans
that can not understand the above policy. he most basic to this
policy is that will guide British labour to understand what Marx and
Engels said.
The working men have no country. We cannot take from them
what they have not got. Since the proletariat must first of all acquire
political supremacy, must constitute itself the nation, it is, so far,
itself national, though not in the bourgeois sense of the word.
National differences and antagonisms between peoples are
vanishing gradually from day to day, owing to the development of
the bourgeoisie, to freedom of commerce, to the world market, to
uniformity in the mode of production and in the conditions of life
corresponding thereto. The supremacy of the proletariat will cause
them to vanish still faster. United action, of the leading civilised
countries at least, is one of the first conditions for the emancipation
of the proletariat.'In proportion as the exploitation of one
individual by another is put an end to, the exploitation of one nation
by another will also be put an end to. In proportion as the
antagonism between classes within the nation vanishes, the hostility
of one nation to another will come to an end. Karl Marx-Friedrich
Engels Communist Manifesto

THE WAY FOR THE NEW SOCIETY

Yes, friends, governments in capitalist society are but
committees of the rich to manage the affairs of the capitalist
class. James Connolly
The transition from capitalism to socialism can only be done
revolutionary. This is confirmed by the same social evolution. From
the primitive Community system without exploitation human passed

to slavery when exploitation appeared and states created in order to

suppress rebel actions from the oppressed classes. But the passage
from slavery to feudalism became revolutionary. It was the same in
the passage from feudalism to capitalism passage revolutionary.
Today the transition from socialism to capitalism will be
revolutionary. The passage can not be done by government
(bourgeois-democratic and fascist) because the government is an
institution of the capitalists and the source of power is the means of
production the keys of the economy. The passage can only be
revolted with the occupation and the socialization of the means of
production.
In the social production of life, people come in fixed, necessary,
independent of will their relations - in the relations of production
which correspond to a set of materials development stage the
productive forces. The totality of these relations of production
constitutes the economic structure of society, the real foundation
that more rises a legal and political superstructure and to which
correspond definite forms social consciousness. The mode of
production of material life determines the social, political and
spiritual process life in general. It is not the consciousness of men
that determines their being, but on the contrary it is their social
determines their consciousness. At a certain stage of their
development, the material productive forces of society in conflict
with the existing relations of production-or what is but a legal
expression of this - the property relations within which had moved
far. From forms of development of productive forces these relations
are transformed into their fetters. Then comes the era of social
revolution. By changing the economic base overturned, with more or
less rapidly, the whole vast superstructure.Vladimir Lenin For
Marx And Marxism
n capitalist society where the class struggle, which is located in
the base of this society, sharpened somewhat seriously, can not be
anything in between, in spite of this only. Whether dictatorship of
the bourgeoisie, whether dictatorship of the proletariat. Each
daydreams for a third solution is reactive lament of bourgeoisie.
