First of all, calculate your total wattage consumption of the house.

i.e. Calculate the total wattage of each and every appliance and make sure that it is not
exceeding 8,000 Watts.
Per phase, Maximum wattage is 8,000 W.
If it's around 5,000 W then you can install 1.5 ton machine =6,900 W
If it's around 6,000 W then you can install 1.2 ton machine =7,300 W
If it's around 7,000 W then you need to get a three phase connection to use Air
conditioner at your place.
