I am happy to announce that Uganda will with support from

UNICEF also host the 1st African Youth Forum from 17th – 19th

(1) To position the African Youth to influence and impact

on the decision-making process.

(2) To explore the most effective ways of transmitting

the young people’s thinking to African leaders.

(3) To develop a framework for establishing a

mechanism for African Youth to effectively
communicate with the leadership in Africa and ensure
that the Forum becomes an integral and regular

1
component of all future African Union Heads of State
