SA-106 Gr A, CA=0.0625. 5/8 thickness SA-516-70 pad to be attached around the
nozzle. The nozzle have internal projection of 7/8, all fillet weld have leg size of 5/8,
OD of pad is 46 . Is this design meet the requirement of ASME Section VIII Div. 1. ?

9. What is the required thickness after forming of Ellipsoidal head under pressure on
convex side . Pressure is 50 Psi. Material used SA-516 Gr. 60 and ID of 54", one half
of minor axis is 13.5" .NO RT on joint head to shell and design temperature is 700F
10. What is the thickness minimum of shell if tube holes are drilled longitudinally in
group 4 and 5, space between holes is 4 and space between group is 6. Space in
circumferential direction is 4 symmetrically . Diameter holes = 2.5817, Shell

during welding to 250oF and PWHT also to be performed by the fabricator. Do this
vessel material require impact test?
