A la afirmativa de los verbos irregulares se le aade ed (verbos regulares), la forma de los

verbos irregulares hay que estudiarla (2 columna).


En la negativa e interrogativa utilizamos el verbo do en pasado did para todas las personas y no
usamos la forma con ed sino la forma original del verbo.

Usamos el pasado simple para :

La mayora de los verbos: aaden -ed
Los verbos regulares acabados en e: aaden -d
Los verbos regulares acabados en consonante + -y:

start started

carry carried

cambian la y por i y aaden -ed


Los verbos regulares acabados en consonante +

stop stopped

vocal + consonante: doblan la consonante final y

PERO: visit visited

Past simple of irregular verbs


Los verbos irregulares no toman la terminacin ed en el pasado simple. Cada forma
verbal irregular forma el pasado simple de una manera. (Lista de verbos irregulares,
segunda columna)
Al igual que los verbos regulares, los verbos irregulares usan el auxiliar did para formar
la negativa y la interrogativa.

(-) They didnt steal her car.
(?) Did they steal her car?

Usamos ago para enunciar un tiempo anterior a ahora cuando un evento sucedi:

Usamos ago al final de la frase con el pasado simple.
