Candidate before reporting for the Written Test should ensure that he/she meets all the eligibility
criteria as mentioned in the advertisement No. WR-I/03/2016-Part A & WR-I/03/2016-Part B, dated
03/09/2016 available in the career section of POWERGRID website http://www.powergridindia.com .
Those who do not ful ill eligibility criteria should not attend the test. Admit card is provisionally
issued based on the details submitted by the candidate in the online registration portal/
Employment Exchanges/Government Polytechnic.

Candidate should note that admit card does not con irm an oer of employment to him/ her. His/her
candidature for this test is provisional and is subject to his/her ful illing the educational and other
eligibility criteria prescribed for the post as per above said advertisement . Merely attending the
written test does not bind POWERGRID to consider the candidate for employment.




The candidate is required to af ix his/ her recent passport size photograph, duly attested in the space
provided. In the absence of photo, candidate will not be allowed to enter the Examination Room.

discrepancy, please inform POWERGRID Coordinator at Examination Centre with supporting
documents for correction



Candidate should ensure that he/ she has received the Admit Card for the post for which he/ she has
applied.

Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the admit card with him/her as the admit card has to be
submitted originally at the time of examination.

POWERGRID reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify/alter the selection/ recruitment
if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter.

Employment exchange/Government Polytechnic sponsored candidates are required to bring
Admit Card along with the photocopy of following documents at the test centre.
1. Application Blank (duly illed in)
2. Date of Birth : Photocopy of 10th class marksheet/Birth Certi icate
3. Essential Quali ication along with mark sheets of all years/semesters; (in case of CGPA, %
conversion from concerned instituted has to be furnished)
i. Diploma
ii. Additional Quali ication, if any
4. Cast/Disability/Discharge certi icate in the prescribed GOI format issued by competent authority.
Please handover the Application Blank alongwith above requisite certi icates to POWERGRID
Coordinator in the classroom before commencement of examination.

The Written Test is of objective type in 2 parts viz Part-I and Part-II consisting of 170 questions to be
answered in 120 minutes.

questions from respective discipline.

Part-II consists of Supervisory Aptitude Test for Diploma Trainee - (Electrical/ Electronics/
Civil/ IT) and Junior Of icer Trainee (HR) with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal
comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data suf iciency & interpretation,
numerical ability etc.

Diploma Trainee - (Electrical/ Electronics/ Civil/ IT) and Junior Of icer Trainee (HR) : To
qualify against Unreserved Vacancies, candidates have to score at least 40% marks in Written Test
with at least 30% marks each in Part I and II separately. For Reserved vacancies, the qualifying
criterion in Written Test is 30% marks with at least 25% marks scored in each Part I and II separately.

At test venue, you must occupy, the seat allotted against your roll no. Inter-changing seats, creating
disturbance in the hall, exchanging notes, consulting/talking to each other etc. will result in
summarily dismissal from the examination hall, non evaluation of answer sheet and other
disciplinary proceedings.

The examination hall will be kept open from 9.30 A.M. No candidate will be admitted to the test after
10.00 A.M. Similarly no one will be allowed to leave the examination hall before 11.00 A.M and

Bringing Mobile phones, electronic calculator, smart watch or any other such electronic devices, text
book, notes, scales, logarithmic tables, etc. shall not be permitted at Examination Hall. Candidates
have to make their own arrangement to keep these items out of the examination Hall.

Before commencement of the test, ill up the information asked in the upper space of Side 2 of the
OMR/Answer Sheet.

Ensure that your signature, signature of POWERGRID Coordinator and Invigilator are put on both the
OMR/ Answer Sheet and Admit card. Without these the answer-sheet will be treated as invalid.

SC/ST/PWD candidates should bring the enclosed/ downloaded from our website TA claim form
duly illed in, original caste/PWD certi icate in the form prescribed by Govt. of the India with an
attested copy of the same and original bus ticket and/or railway ticket for claiming travelling
allowance. TA will not be paid in the absence of any of these documents.

TA for SC/ST/PWD candidates will be limited to 2nd class to and fro rail fare from the address to
which the Admit Card is mailed to the nearest test centre, provided the distance is at least 30 kms.
and out of municipal limits. In case of journey by bus, reimbursement will be limited to 2nd class rail
fare for equivalent distance or actual bus fare whichever is less.

questions shall be bilingual. You have the option to write in Hindi or English.

Mark your answer only in the appropriate spaces against the number corresponding to the question

The answer once marked by you in space provided in the Answer Sheet cannot be changed
again.
