Fitness Grades 1-5 Students transition to various stations completing assigned activity to
increase flexibility, cardiovascular strength, and muscular endurance.
Dance ---Students complete each dance showcased on the white wall to increase
cardiovascular strength
STATION WORK---Kicking Station, Throwing, StrickingVarious Stations to work
on hand and eye coordination, and balanceSee attachment. Some stations will
incorporate choice stations (See attachment)
MAT BALL (2-5) Mats are set up around the gym. Students are to kick the ball and run to

the first mat. The student chooses when to transition from the mat to the next mat.
(Students can only move whet the ball is in motion). The goal is to transition to the mats
reaching home and gaining a point for the team. When students are out or have scored,
they must transition to outfield and attempt to catch a ball for their team.
Crab Soccer ---Students will kick a large ball while in crab positionIncreased use of
Quadriceps, and Hamstrings.

Students will walk the perimeter of the basketball court while music is
playing.

Fitness Gram Testing

Fitness stations: Each group of students will spend 3 minutes at each


station. When the music stops they will stop and rotate clockwise to the
next station. Stations are listed below.
- Station 1: Pushups
- Station2: Curl ups
- Station 3: Running in place
- Station 4: Squats (around cone crab walk)
- Station 5: jump rope
- Station 6: Wall Sits
- Station 7: Hamstring stretch/Quadriceps stretch
- Station 8: jumping jack
- Station9: Mountain climbers
- Station 10: Lunges
*Name of Activity: Spaghetti and Meatballs K-1
Hula hoops-plates, Noodle-spaghetti, Balls-meatballs
Divide the class and put the spaghetti on one side and the meatballs
on the other, place the hula hoops on the floor in the gym, and scatter
the balls over the floor. The meatballs are placing the balls in the
plates and the spaghetti is trying to get the meatballs off the plate.
Students should be moving through general space without bumping
into classmates or equipment.
