This course aims to help the students understand human behavior Course
in organizations. It also helps them to develop analytical skills Objective
necessary for identifying, diagnosing and solving behavioral
problems at the workplace. It provides for the study of behavior at
the individual level in terms of perception, personality, motivation,
learning, creativity, values and attitude. It also provides for the
study of behavior at the collective level in terms of group dynamics,
conflict, leadership and communication. In addition, it includes the
study of behavior at the level of the whole organization in terms of
organizational
design,
organizational
development
and
organizational culture.
1. Read chapters before class. If you do not understand Class
concepts in the readings, please ask questions in class or contact Policies
the instructor.
2. Your positive participation in class is welcome and
anticipated. Attending class is expected, and completing the
assignments can create a base of knowledge for you to draw from
for years. A significant amount of learning will occur from class
discussions and information disseminated in class. Missing class will
mean you miss vital information. This is a course where you can
build skills to help you to be successful in your college career and in
your professional pursuits.
3. Late Work: Assignments are due at the start of class. Late
homework is not graded (exception: a documented excused
absence).
4. There are no makeup exams (unless you have a documented
excused absence).
