Greetings from the Council of Economics Educators, Inc.!
The Council of Economics Educators, Inc. (CECON), will hold its CECON
Annual Members Forum on August 11, 2016 (Thursday), 1:00 5:00 PM
with the theme Aftermath of the National Election: A Micro-Macro
Impact on the Philippine Political Economy. We have invited Director
General Ronald R. Golding, Phil. Senate Economic Planning Office and
Mr. James Jimenez, Commission on Election, Spokesman.
On the 2nd day, August 12, 2016 (Friday), 8:00am-5:00pm will be the
CECON Seminar-Workshop on Teaching Economics in K12 Curriculum:
New Approaches. The speaker for this seminar-workshop is Prof. Louis
Molina, a former professor from the University of Asia and the Pacific and
CECON Internal Vice President and currently DepEd editorial consultant for
books on Junior and Senior High School Economics. The said activity aims
to update both faculty and students on the 2016 political and economic
situations that may affect the country and to update faculty on the K-12
curriculum in relation to the teaching of high school economics. This will also
provide faculty and students engage and collaborate with other schools in
terms of networking, academic resource generations and active involvement
in nation building.
Registration fee for the activity are as follows: Early Registration Rates on
or before July 18, 2016: CECON Member (PhP1,200.00)/ Non-CECON
(PhP1,400.00) inclusive of 3 snacks, 1 lunch and Certificate of Participation
while Students will be charged PhP300.00 inclusive of 1 snack and
Certificate of Participation. Regular Registration Rates (until August 12,
2016) - CECON Member (PhP1,400.00); Non-CECON (PhP1,600.00)
inclusive of 3 snacks, 1 lunch and Certificate of Participation while Students
will be charged PhP400.00 inclusive of 1 snack and Certificate of
Participation. Please note that faculty will participate for one and a half days
while students will only attend the half-day session of Day 1.
