ACCOUNTANTS (TAA)
ABOUT TAA
The Tanzania Association of Accountants (TAA) is an Institution established to unite the
Accountants to protect their interest and promote accountancy professional interest in Tanzania. It
was established and registered in the year 1983, under the Societies Ordinance, 1954, as a
members representative body of all professional accountants and aspiring accountants registered
and working in Tanzania.
JOB PROFILE
The CEO is the overall in charge and responsible in overseeing both strategic and day to day
operations of the Tanzania Association of Accountants (TAA) to ensure strategic goals are
achieved swiftly and efficiently. The CEO shall be the Chairperson of Secretariat to various
Committees of the Governing Council.

To periodically appraise the Executive Committee and the Governing Council of the TAA on
strategic and operations undertakings on plans, objectives and policy issues.
Custodian of all action plans and recommendations from the Executive Committee and
Governing Council and ensure the same are implemented and tracked to resolution.
To ensure timely reporting on financial and operational performanceto the Executive Committee
and the Governing Council.
To ensure sustainable growth of membership base and implement value-adding services such as
mentorship and continuous professional education programs to the stakeholders.
Managing finances of the Institute and liaison with External Auditors
Establishing and maintaining sound relationship with otherprofessional bodies, regulators and
stakeholders
Providing human resource management including succession planning for the team.
Perform any other task assigned by the Executive Committee and Governing Council
Manage the secretariat on various meetings, seminars and day to day activities.
MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS REGUIRED
Bachelor degree in Business Administration/Marketing/Accountancy or finance related field with
at least one year work experience at senior position in either Public or Private Sector.
Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to work independently.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
Experience with financial analysis, cash flow analysis and development budget.
High level of integrity and business acumen, including the responsibility to maintain
confidentiality
Ability to be a change agency, and drive Institute strategies, administer and supervise
subordinates.
