b. SUMMARY OF THE FACTS OF THE CASE
The person being asked questions was actually the witness
who saw the scene that related to the case. He was like the VP of
the company selling television and he happened to see from a
few meters away one of the companys worker handing out a
television to a woman and child.Later to find out the company
lost a television and traced the code or number of the t.v. , it
was found in the workers house, and the woman he gave it to
was actually his wife. The t.v. set is in the hands of the police,
while trial is going on. The worker was in court at the back
standing but not yet his turn to be heard, it was just a hearing of
the witness and confirming the details. If the worker is found to
be guilty it will be a bigger offense since he was working in that
company.
c. OBSERVATION
i. Physical Set-Up
The judge was in the middle facing us while the witness
was at the judges right side. In front of the judge was someone
typing down words probably what was going on in the case.
Some people at the sides with papers and waiting. Then their
was like a border so that the observers will not go in. People

waiting for their case were seated on the benches and at the
back bench were some prisoners with hand cuffs. Some police or
guards at the back as well as outside. Their were also a few
students from other schools observing.

ii. Administration of Justice

The judge didnt administrate anything as of yet that time
since it was only a hearing of one side, the person to be judged
has probably not yet been heard and the case is still to be
continued. The judge also asked questions to confirm and only
wanted the answer from the witness mouth not from the lawyer.
d. INSIGHT
i. How was the experience? (If in a group, indicate the name
followed by the reaction. Ex. Member: Answer)

The experience was a bit scary at first and almost the whole
time. Guards outside and even inside. People who had handcuffs
sitting at the back and even walking around outside. Had to be careful,
one scary and funny thing was that when the judge asked the witness
if he could point out if the person who committed the crime is
anywhere in the room, the witness said yes and pointed at the back
however, my big classmate was blocking the person so it seemed that
the witness was pointing at my classmate, everyone seemed to look at
my classmate until someone told my classmate to move out of the
way. What came to my mind was that if you will be accidentally
involved in the case.
The judge was nice enough to explain to us why this process was taken
or another, for us to understand. How the judge asked questions also
showed that even though it was towards the witness and not the
culprit the judge showed no partiality and wanted the truth. The judge
made sure to confirm the details and made the witness describe in
detail.
It was a first experience, but I dont think Id like to go back. There are
really a lot of
cases and the decision if the person is guilty or not should
be taken seriously.
