Transaction enablers are not supposed to help the investor even in basic functions.
They just "execute" the transactions and they have to give a declaration such as
following:
"I/We, hereby conrm that the EUIN box has been intentionally left blank by
me/us as this is an execution-only transaction without any interaction or
advice by the employee/relationship manager/sales person of the above
distributor or notwithstanding the advice of in-appropriateness, if any,
provided by the employee/relationship manager/sales person of the distributor
and the distributor has not charged any advisory fees on this transaction.*"
EUIN stands for Employee's Unique Identication Number, a must for any distributor
and his/her employees who are also distributors.
Of late, another category of 'advisers' known as "Registered Investment Adviser" or
RIA have been licenced by the regulator SEBI. They are supposed to advise the
