REVIEW GUIDELINES FEM3101 TEST 1

A. Bagi ujian 1, topik yang akan diuji merangkumi Unit 1, Unit 2, dan Unit 3
dalam modul FEM 3101 dan nota bersemuka pertama yang telah
dimuatnaik dalam VODUPMET.
B. Format soalan: Soalan ujian terdiri daripada 2 bahagian. Bahagian A
mempunyai 30 soalan objektif (30 markah). Bahagian B terdiri daripada 4
soalan subjektif (20 markah). Jangka masa ujian adalah 1 jam 50 minit.
Soalan dikemukakan dalam dwi bahasa.
C. Perkara-perkara yang perlu diberi tumpuan khusus semasa mengulangkaji
adalah:
Concept, Theories and Methods
1. Can explain the term development and growth.
2. Can differentiate 2 types of change in growth and development by
providing appropriate examples: i) quantitative change, ii)
qualitative change.
3. Can state the criterias use to classify behavioral change as
developmental change.
4. Growth gradients/ direction of growth and development: can
describe i) cephalocaudal ii) proximodistal.
5. Provide example to explain the meaning of sensitive or critical
period.
6. The debate on nature versus nurture (genetik versus persekitaran)
in influencing development; kaitan genetik dengan IQ.
7. The main tenets of various growth and developmental theories.
Example classical conditioning, operant conditioning, imitation
and observational learning; konsep scaffolding; zone of proximal
development.
8. Can describe various research methods in child/adolescent
development. For example, the difference between longitudinal
study and cross-sectional study.
9. Etika dalam kajian tentang kanak-kanak.
Prenatal Development
10. Can state and explain male and female reproductive systems.
11. Can explain how conception occurs and describe 3 stages as well
as trimesters of prenatal development.
12. Can explain the duration and development at each stage of
prenatal development.
13. Can explain factors that influence prenatal environment and the
fetus.

14. Concept of teratogen and how teratogen influence prenatal


development; apa kesan pendedahan kepada teratogen dan
bagaimana jumlah, masa(timing) pendedahan kepada teratogen,
jangka masa/ intensiti, genetik, dan gabungan teratogen
mempengaruhi kesan teratogen terhadap fetus.
15. Functions of the various parts of the brain.

17. Neonate and neonatal period.
18. Growth and nutrition; importance of breastfeeding.
19. Brain different parts of the brain and its functions; various
regions of the cerebral cortex and its functions.

21. Newborn reflexes and motor skill.
22. Sensory capacity touch, hearing, vision, taste, smell.
