Note: For this exercise open the Getting Started HVAC.dwg file in the HVAC folder under
C:\CP_Gen2\Commercial.
1. On the Design pulldown menu or the Design toolbar select Configure Rectangular.
2. On the Design pulldown menu or the Design toolbar select Start a Run.
On the Command line, Digitize new Bottom of Conduit elevation <KB Option>: Enter
On the Command line, Starting Bottom of Conduit elevation <10'>: 10, Enter
On the Command line, <From point>: Pick a point in the Top View and pull to the right
On the Command line, Angle/Up/Down <90.000>: Left click your mouse
a. On the Design pulldown menu or the Design toolbar select Default Length and place 3, see
figure #1.

b. On the Design pulldown menu or the Design toolbar select Turn Up. This command is telling
the program that it is going vertical.
c. On the Rectangular pulldown menu or the Rectangular toolbar select Elbows and then 90
Degree Elbow Sqr-Sqr Left. Because the program is going vertical it does not matter if you
select 90 Degree Elbow Sqr-Sqr Elbow Left or Right, see figure #2.

d. On the Design pulldown menu or the Design toolbar select Auto Route.

f. On the Design pulldown menu or the Design toolbar select Default Length, see figure #5

g. On the Accessories pulldown menu or the Accessories toolbar select Rect Diffuser/Round
Neck.

h. On the Accessories pulldown menu or the Accessories toolbar select Flex Duct/Spin Collar.

4. On the Utilities pulldown menu or the Utilities toolbar select HVAC Reports.
Report Outputs surrounded with an orange rectangle are for downloading to the
Plasma Table and Coil line.
Report Output, Select Formatted BOM to Dwg/Printer
Report Kind, Select Rectangular
Report Type, Select ALL (Straight/CTL/Fitting)
Select Process Report
On the Command line, Starting point for BOM report: Select above the first piece of duct
drawn, see figure #9.
