My Reflection:
Traditional
Curriculum
*Lack of instructional
materials
*Crowded classroom
*Lack of chairs and
books
*the teacher dont
have enough
knowledge on
technologies for
effective and
meaningful teaching.
*there are some
absolute ideas.
Progressive
Similarities
Curriculum
*they are updated
*Gives all the learners
needs and interest
*Introduces new
strategies in teaching
*they are now globally
competitive and has a
total learning
experiences among
the learners.
*Gives opportunity to
develop higher order
thinking skills.
*use a modern
instructional materials
that ate suited to the
needs of the learners.
has a different mind sets in terms of their view points in traditional and progressive
curriculum. And I am very thankful because I gain more information all about it and this
information is very helpful when Im already in the field of teaching.
My personal Insights:
As a future education it is our duty to research and know all about the things
that are useful in curriculum. From the chart above it has really big changes from
Field Study 4 : Exploring the Curriculum
traditional and progressive curriculum. But it has a similarities also that will never
change. And by this chart the school will know the shortage of their institution.
Activity 3 : Call up your friends from their Education Institutions. Find out what is
their own point of view of
curriculum. Put a check mark on the
corresponding column.

My Insights
Every school has standards there and the students who were already
enrolled here has a different attitudes and cultures . As you see in the chart the
schools has different name there were universities and foundation colleges. And
they used different curriculum but mostly in the chart they are using progressive
curriculum, which means their curriculum was better than before and aligned in
modern world.

is a curricularist.
My Reflections/Insights
For me, it is a great job to be a curricularist. Every human being in some or other
way is a curricularist as the work of it is to guide, plan in a decent manner, also to
implement it in a best way. A teacher, scientist and many other professional do
the same.
