Aknowledgement
Firstly, we want to give thanks to LAr. Dr. Nor Atiah Binti Ismail on the
ability of her teaches courses on Professional Practice and law in this sixth
semester . We are very grateful for this semester we were given this
assignment and have the opportunity to find and interview one of the
landscape consultants which is Lar. Danial A. Hassan the director of Laman
TBG Sdn Bhd.
This assignment is a precious experience for us to be able to face with
landscape consultant and deepen their efforts before and after involved in
the experience. Although little , but it turned out our minds on business
and every experience was valuable and difficult to be evaluated. With the
help and cooperation given by a group of friends, finally, we can prepare
and complete this task.
That's all of us, hopefully, the interview that we produce from our
interviewer can make us more eager to be like him indirectly recognize
entrepreneurs that we select.

BACKGOUND OF INTERVIEWER

Name: Lar. Danial A. Hassan

Age: 46 years old
Education:
Degree in landscape Architecture, UITM Shah Alam (1999),
Diploma of Agriculture, UPM Bintulu (1991)
Experience:
Works with a contractor for 3 years after graduating from
UPM Bintulu.
Works with MHA Ecoscape for 2 years after graduating from
UITM Shah Alam.
Started open company on 2001 named Laman TBG Sdn Bhd.

BACKGROUND OF COMPANY
The business of Laman TBG Sdn Bhd began legally registered
in 2001 under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)
located at No.1, Jalan PP 3/5, Desa Pinggiran Putra, 43000
Kajang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. At that time, the owners of this
company want to develop a business and marketing business
aroud malaysia . But first, this business must be recognition by
the government of Malaysia to ensure that business is
marketable, competitive and continue to progress and valid
legally business law 1956.
The several project that company involves such as :

INTERVIEW QUESTION
WHO INSPIRED YOU TO BUILT UP YOUR COMPANY ?
First time saya dengar apa itu Landscape architecture ni during
my diploma, diploma pertanian di UPM. Who inspired me is my
lecturer la, dia ajar saya dia galakkan saya buat landscape
architect pada tahun 1990. Habis diploma saya kerja dulu
selama 3 tahun dengan kontraktor sebab nak dapat LAr ni, kita
kena kerja dulu. Lepas tu saya masuk uitm 3 tathun ijazah.
Lepas grad saya kerja 3 tahun dengan consultant, MHA
Ecoscape. Lepas grad 2 tahun saya dapat LAr, saya suka

prefession ni dan saya rasa saya boleh buat sendiri la, ada
company sendiri.
HOW THE OBSTACLE YOU FACE WHEN OPEN COMPANY.
Company owner ni bukan senang, bila you bukak company
pertama kena ada good experience, kena ada contact macam
mana nak get the project, how manage, project management
dan last plaling susah nak dapat payment tu. Apa apa pun
related to payment nk teruskan servive dalam company ni.
Sebagai owner company kena fikir banyak benda, fikir project,
fikir company, fikir macam mana nak bayar gaji, macam mana
nk dapat new project, macam mana nk PR dengan kita punya
client untuk survive. Alhamdulillah company saya tahun ni dah
15 tahun, so far kita PR tak payah sangat marketing pun tak
payah sangat sebab project dating dengan sendiri. Kalau you
company baru yes you kena buat PR lebih sebab orang tak
kenal you lagi. That why u need a good reputation bila you buat
project kena buat the best way la, kalau client suka you dia
bagi je terus project dekat you. More than 50 % my project from
architect sebab I baik dengan architect, that relationship tu
yang penting. Tapi you kena doing a good job la dengan dia,
you deliver, on time pandai jaga cost. Nak jadi consultant ni
pertama kena ada good experience la, jangan eager sangat nak
cepat kan. Must have step by step to develop ourself.

OPINION ABOUT THIS PROFESSSION

About tppa its actually no good for us la as consultant sebab
kita kena fight for the market. Ilam actually tengah final for our
own akta sebab akta ni penting kepada kita as consultant ni.
Sebab akta ni penting kepada kita sebagai consultant untuk
payment lah macam kerajaan dia susah sikit nak bayar kita
sebab tak ada akta sebab ada benda yang kita tak setuju la

dengan cara dia bayar kita tu sebab tu kita nak akta tu. .
Process nak jadi akta ni bukan senang kita kena baca dan study
akta orang lain, akta planner, akta arkitek semua akta kena tau
supaya tak contradict dengan kita punya akta.

WHAT YOUR OPINION ABOUT OUT COUNTRY LANDSCAPE

INDUSTRIES
Landscape ni sekarang is requirement, mesti kena buat dan ini
bagus untuk kita la bila ada kerja dan project ada la untuk kita.
Nak kata pasal trend ni, landscape ni dynamic so dia kan
bertukar tukar la tapi yang paling the best juga tropical design
la Malaysia sebab sesuai dengan kita cuaca semua. Tentang
new new design macam vertical planting is new approach la
untuk keperluan semasa sebab contoh vertical high rise
building taka da tanah tu kena buat vertical planting semua
tanam secara hydroponic. Dia start bila ada keperluan ikut
tempat sebabdesign kan ikut tempat kan

Tips
He said that at 2 years initially open the company is the
tougher situation where we need to work hard and make the

marketing widely to ensure people know about the company. If

we could make it he said that after that that is not a problem at
all.
Second things is we need to do public relationship more, and
have a contact with people so we will be more known and
easily get the project.
Mostly in Malaysia, there are many projects because we are in
develop the country. So, we have to compete for each other to
make sure that we get the project.

CONCLUSION
