How To Run Cisco Webex in


PC and Laptop
There are two ways to invite meeting participants to join video conference in Webex. First, the

host of the meeting can share the meeting number and password to participants. Second, the
host can share the link of meeting room to them as well.

A. Get into Video Conference through Meeting Number


1. Open Google Chrome Web Browser

Type www.webex.com into web bar (a long white bar at the top of browser window)

3. Click Join button at the rigth top of the page

Input Meeting Number (SEAMOLEC will give meeting number and password)
Meeting number and password would be shared by the host of the meeting. The
meeting number and password are subject to change.

B. Get into Video Conference through Room Link

Copy the link and paste it into the web bar


Meeting link will be shared by the host of the meeting. The meeting number and
password are subject to change

Exploring Webex and Its Features


1. Activating Audio in Video Conference
In the video conference area, please go to the left top of the page and find the Quick
Start bar. Choose Connect to Audio with the Blue Headset Icon.

2. Speaker and Microphone Setting
The function of the speaker is to hear the output or voice of the presenter and
meeting participants. The microphone functions to transfer participants voice
while they are speaking so the other participants can hear them.

After clicking Connect to Audio button in steps 3, the button turned green and it
shows the speaker and microphone setting bar.

The meeting participants can mute their microphone by clicking the microphone icon on
the speaker or microphone setting bar.

3. Checking Speaker and Microphone

Click Audio bar at the top of the page. Choose Computer Audio Setting

By clicking Test button, the participants can check whether the speaker is working

or not. To check the microphone whether it is working properly or not, participant


have to speak toward the microphone until the light on the microphone setting bar
is on.

4. Activating Camera
Click camera icon. When the icon turned green, camera is active.

5. Activating Microphone During Video Conference


During the meeting, when the host or presenter give instruction to participants to mute
the microphone, participants can inactive the microphone by clicking the microphone
icon at the right corner of the participants window until the red light is on.

Share Screen to Meeting Participants


The function of Share Application Feature is sharing the look of the application page in
desktop or PC to video conference participants. There are two ways to share screen (present
something) to participants.
a. Share screen by clicking Share Application button.
In Share Application button chose more.
