Makunudu is a small island resort with "no news no shoes concept" with an intimate setting.

Resort consists of 36 bungalows, all facing the


sea. Mainly European clientele, German, British, French, Italian and also some Japanese and Russian. The island is popular for many repeat
guests returning year after year. Being a small island the staff team is built upon a family atmosphere whereby staff approach to guest
services is personal and friendly.

COMMIS 1 [Cold Kitchen]

This is a great opportunity to be part of something special whilst developing your culinary skills and techniques!
As a Commi -1, role will include:

Working on a section of the kitchen and prepping all the necessary ingredients for your dishes

Using innovative techniques and working with the finest of ingredients by preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your

specialty

To complete all storage, stock rotation and cleaning tasks for the section to the required standard

Fitting in with the existing brigade and working alongside other members of the kitchen team

Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety

Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins


The ideal Chef will have these essential attributes:

You will have a minimum of 2 years work experience as a Commis -1 [Cold Kitchen] in a reputable establishment

Have ambition and the passion to progress your career in a quality expanding resort

Youre committed to high quality service, are passionate and have a keen eye for detail

To be creative and innovative, but have great respect for classical technique

PANTRY HELPER
Production and preparation of all foods using the exact menu specifications set forth by Westgate for the restaurant by performing the
following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, and other duties may be
assigned.

Organize and set of pantry coolers

Assists pantry on production including clean and cut salads, vegetables and fruits

Label, date and rotate all products on the work station

Assures proper taste of all cold foods

Assures proper presentation standards of cold food

Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage

Required to conform to weekly schedules and clock in/out as per company procedure.

Maintains personal appearance and hygiene - clean uniform and hair restraint.

Maintains a team atmosphere and courteous to all internal and external customers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or

training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
