MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Genesis 1-3; Matthew 1
Monday, January 2
Hosea 13:5 I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
Yes, Most Gracious Lord!
You did indeed know me when I was fallen. When I was so bad off I even
hated myself, you still sought me to be your child. You satisfied my constant
cravings. Thank you for your rich, free, abounding mercy. But, oh Lord! I know
so many others who are wandering in the wilderness I was in.
Even now their experience is a desert on the inside. Because you purchased
them with your blood, I ask you to now claim them as your child. Pour out
streams of love and grace to them. Help me get __________ to the gospel!
When outward circumstances are at their worst, and I wander in a barren
and dry land, teach me to look only to Jesus. I lack everything until I have your
presence. There are men and women who do not know you, but you have known
them. You see their soul in all their adversities. Oh that __________ might turn
to you for salvation and end their despair!
I magnify you for your faithfulness to me in my most trying circumstance. I
regret I have at any time distrusted you. I have too often been exalted in my own
mind and heart, when I really owe everything to your gentleness and love. Have
mercy, and send me to take the gospel good news to __________.
You noticed me in my sad distress. I must now be sure I own both you and
your causethe Eternal Purpose of God to glorify yourself, by Jesus Christ,
through his body this church. Do not let me be so lifted-up with worldly success
I am embarrassed or ashamed of scripture-word or your Spirits work.
I will follow you into the wilderness to reach others. I will bear your cross
in the heat of the day. I am ashamed at the thought of ever being ashamed of
you. You are my best Beloved, friend Jesus. Amen!
Phil. 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ
Jesus.
WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Genesis 7-9; Matthew 3
Wednesday, January 4
Luke 17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with
a loud voice glorified God,
Ezek. 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you:
and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Exodus 30:7 And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he
dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.
Psa. 45:3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy
majesty.
O Lord My Master:
Bless our church, its pastors and leaders. We thank you for your mercy, and
the fact many of us have been spared to serve you in spite of physical infirmities
and spiritual failures. We thank you for the many teachers and disciplers among
us. We ask Lord, that all of us might be anointed with fresh oil, enabling every
working or suffering brother or sister to have fresh grace! Make this Sunday a
time of trimming and dressing the lamps, so all of us can shine brightly to
the praise of the glory of your grace this New Year.
Bless our nation, Lord. In mercy avert the horrors of terrorist actions from
our midst. Grant that peace can be continued here, and make war come to an end
where it rages abroad. Make a policy of truth and righteousness be taken up in
our country and by our government, and forgive us our great national sins. Bless
the President and President-elect with every blessing.
Psa. 67:5-7 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall
the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and
all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
Forgive the weakness of our praying. Forgive our wandering hearts.
Through the Well-Belovedwho now stands before your throne in all his
resurrection beauty, through him whom our soul loves even as you love him,
through him whom we adore as the one who is over all, God blessed forever (Rom.
9:5)through him! and for his sake look kindly on our congregation. Lift our
horizon, and increase our flocks. Help us reach others for you, and do it through
your power. Grant us this so Jesus can be glorified in our lives, we pray. Amen.

TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)
TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
