1. Currently the process of publishing a new database on Citrix or updating the bat file starts with an email
that contains information regarding the database location and name:
3. Once logged onto carsrv2 the Citrix bar will be located on the desktop (typically on the left hand side).
Click the "Access Management Console" (the second icon from the bottom). The "Access Management
Console" button has been highlighted in red below:
8. Enter the Command line for the specific database into the Command line box and Working directory box:
This path will be modified to correct for the Citrix server to find the database:
\\fs1\vol3\ConcDB\INSCORP v Kenning\KENNING PROD DTBS\DATABASE\28074_1_Kenning_Prod_Nysupreme.Dcb
What was specifically replacing "O:" with "\\fs1\vol3", nothing else in the path needs to be changed.
Value 2 of Command line:
\\fs1\vol3\ConcDB\INSCORP v Kenning\KENNING PROD DTBS\DATABASE\28074_1_Kenning_Prod_Nysupreme.Dcb
*IMPORTANT* Please be sure to wrap each value in double quotes (") due to spaces in the path if no quotes the system will
follow the path until it hits the first space ( ) in the path then fail.
Combination of Value 1 and Value 2 to form correct Command line path (all one line):
"C:\Program Files\LexisNexis\Concordance\concordance.exe" "\\fs1\vol3\ConcDB\INSCORP v Kenning\KENNING PROD
DTBS\DATABASE\28074_1_Kenning_Prod_Nysupreme.Dcb"
The "Working directory" box will have the same path for all databases:
C:\Program Files\LexisNexis\Concordance\
11. Click
Select the Security Groups that will have access to the database:
Once added click the "OK" button. This will bring you back to the start screen.
Each database will have different Security groups. The groups are typically named after the case it should
be a striaght forward process to find the specific security group.
In this example the three security groups are:
Database_Security_Groups > Lit_Sup_Admin
Database_Security_Groups > INSCorp v Kenning
Users > Domain Admins
Two of the groups will be the same for all databases:
Database_Security_Groups > Lit_Sup_Admin
Users > Domain Admins
The third group will be the specific security group that needs access to the database. In this case the group
is:
Database_Security_Groups > INSCorp v Kenning
14. Click the "Change icon" and enter the folder path that the database will exist.
Scroll all the way to the right click on the Concordance Icon. Once selected click the OK button.
The "Client application folder" box will receive the folder path pointing to where the published database will exist.
In this example a new folder was created under the existing "INSCorp v Kenning" folder. The new folder was named "
Kenning Production". All the databases exist under the " Concordance Databases" folder.
25. After you are finished you will see the database created under the folder you created:
If adding to an existing case follow the same process except clicking on the folder name of the case you are
adding the new database to and select "Publish application" (no need to create a folder).
