Mission

Strengthen Businesses: Hosting a variety of events to connect the community to local


businesses and organizations, the Chamber is committed to promoting our members
businesses and encouraging local spending.
Advance Community: From the Spirit of Christmas to the summer Music in the Park
series, the Chamber offers community members a variety of entertaining events
throughout the year.
Promote Tourism: Operating the Tourist Booth during the summer months and
promoting our area through multiple media outlets, the Chamber attracts and assists
visitors in the area.

BENEFITS AND SERVICES


Being a member of the Chamber of Commerce entitles an organization many
benefits and services. The Chamber can cooperatively provide programs and
services that a single business may not be able to provide on its own. Such

Bath, NY Tourist Booth


Thousands of people (residents and visitors) are assisted each year at our Tourist
Booth, co-operated by the Bath Rotary Club.
Provides key area information through in-person, telephone & e-referrals,
brochures, rack cards and signage.
Networking Opportunities
Opportunities to connect with other Chamber members, business owners, area
leaders, and the Chamber Board of Directors.
Chamber Website
Newly-designed website is a go-to source for residents and visitors alike to obtain
area information.
Includes a members-only business listingincluding a direct link to your website,
increasing ratings.
Marketing Opportunities
Low and no cost, high-exposure opportunities in a variety of options that include
e-newsletters, print, website, and Facebook.
Sponsorships for our annual events provide excellent community exposure.
Small Business Assistance
Periodically offers seminars and workshops for existing and potential businesses
that you and your employees may attend.
Referral Program
Exclusive member referrals. You will be notified of all inquiries and referrals from
the Chamber Office.

Individual and group plans are available for health, dental, life, disability, and
vision coverage; Medicare, 401(k) Retirement Plans, supplemental employee

Chamber Facebook page is used to support community events and local
business.

MEMBER NETWORKING EVENTS


In addition to our community events, our Members are entitled to attend several
member-only events. Whether you choose to network, highlight your business, or
simply catch up with friends, our gatherings are the best way to stay up-to-date
with Chamber happenings.

Annual Awards Dinner: January 2017

Join us as we appoint officers, recognize and award outstanding business and


community accomplishments, review the past year, and celebrate our upcoming
successes! You wont want to miss this themed dinner, complete with live music! Presale tickets will start mid-December.

General Membership Meeting: June and October 2017

Check in with the Chambers progress at these bi-annual meetings. Hosted at a


member organization, well provide a business-oriented presentation and discuss
current and future Chamber events over beverages and light refreshments!

Business After Hours: Monthly

These gatherings are the perfect way to highlight your business happenings! Host this
social mixer and networking session to invite member businesses into your industry.
Great for establishing connections, meeting new people, and discovering new clients
and customers.

Please indicate interest for hosting Business After Hours or the General Membership
Meeting on your membership form. As there are a limited number of opportunities, we
cannot guarantee a specific date for your business.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
The Chamber strives to promote business while bringing the community together
through our annual series of events. From concerts to lumberjack competitions,
there are plenty of opportunities for your business to get involved:

Bath Community Expo: May 2017

A day-long event bringing the community together in Pulteney Park, the Bath
Community Expo features a multitude of events to entertain. Bath Tub Races begin
the day, showcasing the athleticism of various community businesses and
organizations. The NYS Lumberjack Association holds a competition of events, and
the day ends with a live concert. Expect Chicken BBQ, vendors, and more at this
annual event!

Music in the Park Concert Series: July and August 2017

Pulteney Park comes alive each Wednesday night during the summer as music, food,
and friends come together for our annual concert series! Located at the start of the
historic Liberty Street in Bath, these rain or shine events take place from 6-8pm.

Wineglass Marathon: October 2017

As the starting location of this annual race, the Chamber offers member businesses
the ability to with runners and their families through various promotions

Spirit of Christmas: December 2017

Get in the holiday spirit at this festive annual celebration! Visit Santa, enjoy free food
and drinks or take a horse-drawn wagon ride! Watch the community tree lighting and
stroll our downtown for make-and-take craft opportunities, storytelling, face painting,
and other fun holiday activities. Our array vendors and businesses stay open late for
your Christmas shopping needs! Join us this year on Friday, December 2, 2016 for
this magical event!

RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONIES


Ribbon Cuttings occur most often during the grand opening of a business or at
the conclusion of a new construction project or change in focus. A ribbon cutting
ceremony is a symbolic way to garner support for a business or project from the
local community.

Media Release

We can compose and distribute a media release to our list of media contacts. All
information and imagery must be supplied by the participating business. We do not
guarantee the attendance of media individuals.

Invitations

We will notify local officials and the Chamber Board of Directors. We do not
guarantee the attendance.

E-Newsletter

We will include information on your Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in our e-Newsletter


dedicated to your individual business.

Ceremony

We will provide ceremonial scissors and a ribbon at the event. A Chamber


representative will be in attendance to welcome your business.

To help ensure a successful event, please allow the Chamber three to four weeks advance
