NEHBA SEMI-ANNUAL MEETING

JUNE 25, 2016


The semi-annual meeting opened at 9:05am with a roll call being completed
all member clubs were represented except Tri-County and Thorton who were
unexcused.
PresidentLarry began states things are going well in the association and that the
Winners stakes went very well. President Joe C. from Central Mass Beagle
club called and spoke to Larry about parting the association in good standing
with the hopes of coming back possibly in the future. Central Mass was
explained that by using Marshall Sparks a non-member who is not in good
standing as their Field Trial Secretary with their club would not be in good
standing with the association.
Treasurer ReportCurrent balance is $1000.82
Secretary ReportMinutes from Annual meeting were read and accepted with a motion by Doug
Bower and seconded by Bubba Sousa
Field Trial SecretaryWe took in a total of $535. From Winners Stakes
Unfinished BusinessLarry is working on by-laws and will get out when completed, also to send
out letter in regards to dues/perdiems of $150
New BusinessDiscussed was Tom Bray and his status in the Hall of Fame and specifically
him going against the association and having Marshall Sparks as FTS for
Central Mass. It was motioned to replace nametag to not in good standing
on plaques. Conversation ensued and it was tabled to a later conversation.

Motion by Mike Santos to extend running season from Jan 1 through
December 31 to be in line with Federation, seconded by Doug Bower with an
amendment to adjust by laws to reflect the change, passed unanimously
Doug Bower mentions the clubs that are not fulfilling their obligations around
attending meetings or holding trials, Mike Santos motions to assess TriCounty and Thorton $25 fees for failure to attend our semi-annual meeting,
seconded by Bubba Sousa, Sec 1 article 7 of the by-laws, passed
Discussion around Winners Stakes and making it a bigger more prestigious
event for the association, a committee needs to be formed.
Doug Bower discusses kids trial and how great it is for the sport and
suggests more clubs need to offer some help, donations are always welcome
Federation trials if selected we must represent our association and not pull
out if selected to judge
As an Association, we need to look at the slate of officers and assure who we
have representing us is for the betterment of the association.

Motion by Doug Bower to adjourn seconded by Jerry Carreau, passed
